2 PUBLIC SAFETY DATA NETWORK PSDN: high speed, optical based data transport network connecting 2 public safety sites; initially supporting applications for, Collect and P2 Radio Interoperability (Phase I) Dual counter direction rings allows for resiliency and no single point of failure Two interconnection points on each ring to an adjacent ring for added resiliency 1 G lightwave per ring plus G core lightwave Fast switchover to opposite direction ring (<0ms) allows continuous operation without interruption
