5 Latest News News #1 Acoustic Upgrade The Dash has under gone an acoustic overhaul. Now packaged are high performance balanced armature loudspeakers for stereo reproduction. For capturing speech and ambient sound digital microphones are optimally placed to maximise the sound reproduction experience. News #2 Sensor Upgrade The Dash will now be shipped with increased sensing capability in 9 axes of movement sensing. In addition to the 3 axis accelerometer also now included is a 3 axis gyroscope and a 3 axis magnetometer. The improved sensing capabilities give The Dash an array of exciting new use case possibilities that will be rolled out over time. News #3 Charging Case Upgrade Last but by no means least Bragi redesigned the charging case, reduced the size and increased the usability. Charging contacts have been moved and integrated with a magnetic docking mechanism to give a smooth experience to charging The Dash on the go. Listen The Dash can play music from an embedded 4GB/1000 song music player or through a wireless, dual mode Bluetooth 4.0 connection with an ios, Android or Windows device. The advanced audio system includes balanced armature drivers for sound reproduction and digital microphones to capture ambient sound and speech, delivering accurate sound reproduction as the artist or recording engineer intended. Track The Dash measures body vitals via two tiny LEDs emitting low intensity red and infrared light into the capillaries in the ear more than 50 times/second. Using the reflection, a precise heart rate, oxygen saturation level and body temperature is calculated with the data. Dual accelerometers, magnetometers and gyroscopes work together to perform a staggering number of measurements while you walk, run, bike and swim. The Dash tracks speed/distance (with calibration) and movements like pace, steps, cadence, rotation and energy spent even without a smartphone. Communicate The Dash also works as a Bluetooth headset and delivers clear voice quality through an embedded microphone. Even though The Dash provides impressive noise isolation, the wearer can choose to channel ambient sound into the headphone with the transparent audio feature. Safety and peace of mind come from awareness of your surroundings, like hearing a car, a cyclist or a voice. A simple swipe on the optical touch surface of The Dash will enable or disable ambient sound to pass through. How to interact with The Dash. The outer surface of both Dash contains a high resolution optical touch sensor. All audio, telephony and tracking functions are controlled with finger swipes and taps even with gloves and while wet. 7 Three Point Secure Fit. A durable polymide housing protects the heart of The Dash and fits comfortably and securely in a broad range of ears with the help of three sizes of sleeves supplied. Nano coated silicon sleeves help provide a secure fit and water resistance to 1 meter. With no cables to pull on the headphones, and a lightweight design, The Dash stays in comfortably, while walking, running, biking or swimming. Ears are different as each human being: Three dimensional scans of hundreds of ears were made and many different organic shapes were tested. Finally four shapes developed that would provide comfort and fit for a broad range of ears. Silicone sleeves matching the four sizes (XS/S/M/L) are delivered with The Dash package. 9 The Charging Case. On-the-go power supply for The Dash provided by the Charging Case has seen a redesign in itself and how it integrates with the in-ear devices. Charging power and data contacts on The Dash were redesigned, relocated and integrated with a magnetic docking mechanism that seats The Dash smoothly in the case and enables easy extraction for use. Exceptionally the case has also been reduced to a more discreet size while maintaining the case battery capacity and the ability to recharge The Dash multiple times on the go. Enveloping the charging case is a fabric pouch. Constructed of a rugged, water resistant material that adds additional robustness to the connection of the devices when they are docked it also serves as an initial barrier to the elements during daily use. A transparent window in the pouch provides a quick view to the charging status of The Dash without the need to open the case and a side button gives feedback on the charging status of the case itself.
