5 PREFACE In 2007, when we started the Advanced Logistic Systems journal, our aim was to present the results of our department and our international partners in a serially publication. Our initiative was successful, during seven years containing this volume almost two hundred papers were published in the journal. As the quality and the number of the papers were continuously increasing year by year, the journal has reached a quality level, which means higher interest and requires some changings. The first thing which shows the magnitude of our journal, that our journal is one of the official publications of the University of Miskolc from this year. We think that it is a great honour from the leaders of the University, and we are grateful for it. However this step is not only pleasure and pride for us, we have to do many work to fulfil the increased requirements and try to reach an even higher quality level in our journal. It means that we have to change the formal requirements and have to be more rigorous, but a new, advanced reviewing process can result the higher quality of the papers. We think that the changing will not be easy and it can cause problems for the authors, reviewers and the editors, but it is worth. We hope that these changings will improve the quality of the Advanced Logistic Systems journal and many new, advanced and useful research results in the field of logistics will be published in it.
