On-demand applications offer both online and offline application access through a combination of session and application virtualization. Session virtualization uses application streaming to deliver applications to hosting servers in the datacenter. When users want to run an on-demand application, they are connected to a virtual instance of that application, which executes entirely in the XenApp farm. The user interacts with the application by sending mouse-clicks and keystrokes to the server and the server then responds by sending screen updates back to the user s device.
