COS E?

WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy Policy: integrate TM/CAM with national health care systems Safety, efficacy and quality: provide evaluation, guidance and support for effective regulation Access: ensure availability and affordability of TM/CAM, including essential herbal medicines Rational use: promote therapeutically-sound use of TM/CAM by providers and consumers

G O V E R N M E N T RESEARCH IN HOMOEOPATHTY Research in Homoeopathy is encouraged through two routes: INTRAMURAL ROUTE O F I N D I A EXTRAMURAL ROUTE

G O V E R N M E N T O F I N D I A CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR RESEARCH IN HOMOEOPATHY Carry out: Clinical Research Drug Research Drug Standardization Literary Research Documentation Survey of Medicinal Plants used in Homoeopathy

G O V E R N M E N T O F I N D I A MAJOR RESEARCH WORKS BEING CARRIED OUT HIV/AIDs Pilot study suggest Homoeopathic medicines could control opportunistic infections and improve the quality of life of the patients. Homoeopathic medicines have a major role in drug de-addiction programmes Proved 36 Indian Drugs and Monographs published.

G O V E R N M E N T O F I N D I A EXTRAMURAL ROUTE In the Extramural Route, the Government extend funds to other organizations/ Universities/ Institutions to carry out research in identified areas. This is to encourage the talents available out side the Government institution to contribute development of the system Research work is awarded to accredited institutions Financial assistance subject to a maximum of Rs 25 lakhs is provided to projects. The projects are assessed by Technical evaluation Committee by Technical experts and finally approved by a Screening Committee headed by Secretary (AYUSH)
