CES has been involved as a subconsultant for the Broward County Anion Exchange Treatment Facility Design & Permitting, Broward County Division of Water and Wastewater Services; provided civil engineering services for the design of the new anion exchange facility for WTP-1A (Paving and Grading Plans, Drainage Design and Plans, Pavement Markings Plan, Permitting). As a subconsultant to Master pump station work CES has worked on the Everglades Restoration Project Compartment C Buildout (G-508 Pump Station), SFWMD (Construction Management Inspection, and Laboratory Testing). On Water distribution pumps, CES has been involved on the East Miramar Infrastructure Improvement Phase III. The expertise has been on providing engineering design services and construction engineering and inspection services during the construction and installation of Approximately 5 miles of water mains were upgraded to 6- and 8-inch DIP, and approximately 5 miles of gravity sewer were constructed throughout the area. Lauderdale Waterworks The expertise has been on Construction Management. CES was contracted to provide construction oversight for the completion of various infrastructure improvements involving Water Main, Sanitary Sewer Force Main, Sanitary Gravity Sewer, & Storage tanks and Pump Station Upgrade Installations. As a sub-consultant they have provided Detailed planning and coordination with SFWMD staff for field reconnaissance and survey activities, Development of canal inspection criteria, data recording format, and report content, Conducting research to analyze existing data, Conducting site visits to determine the condition of the canal, Prepared a report for each canal presenting the gathered information and proposed remedial action. Their experience with Surface Water Management has been to work on the MDPWD SW 27th Avenue Roadway Reconstruction project where their expertise has been on Surface Water Hydrology. The work mostly involved engineering analysis and storm water drainage design for a closed storm water management system of approximately 0.75 mile along SW 27th Avenue from US-1 to Bay Shore Drive. Ortiz, P.E. will be the Project Manager and has nearly 30 years of design and management experience in a variety of civil engineering areas, specializing in the design and construction management of entertainment complexes, neighborhood improvement projects, and water/ wastewater facilities as well as the program management of fast-track and complex water and wastewater projects in Florida, Puerto Rico, and New York. He has served as Construction Manager, Resident Engineer, and Field Engineer on a variety of multi-million dollar roadway reconstruction and neighborhood improvement projects. Jose Caraballo, P.E. will be the Project Manager and has over 10 years of experience in a variety of civil and environmental engineering project delivery including, air permitting, paving and drainage project, Class IV Freshwater Wetland Permitting, and South Florida Water Management District Environmental Resources Permitting. Miller Legg Huntley Higgins, P.E. will serve as the Project Manager and has 17 years of combined civil engineering, utilities (water and sewer) and drainage/hydraulics design and construction experience in infrastructural development and environmentally related projects for public and private facilities. Michael Adeife, P.E. has 20 years combined design and construction experience. His engineering experience is extensive and diverse and encompasses water and sewer utilities, urban planning, and stormwater/hydraulics design. Gregory Mendez, P. E. has 14 years of water and sewer utilities design experience for public and private facilities. Specifically, his experience includes the design and permitting and construction management/administration of water distribution and transmissions mains, water distribution pump systems, sewer collection systems, pump and lift stations located in Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices.
