Razor s Edge Scholarship Programs: (Select one among Leadership, Global, or Research) Leadership: The Razor s Edge Leadership Scholarship program is designed for student leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to leading and making an impact in the community, with a strong desire to continue that impact when a part of NSU. 3 Research: The Razor s Edge Research Scholarship program is a premier scholarship opportunity for students interested in firsthand experiences with research, intrigued by scientific inquiry, and problem solving. The successful Razor s Edge Research student will complete research activities with faculty researchers in a variety of fields matched to your interest. 4 Razor s Edge Shark Cage Scholars Program: The Razor s Edge Shark Cage Scholarship program is for students interested in the development of business plans, the process of launching a business, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Similar to the popular television show Shark Tank, students will pitch a concept for a business or product to faculty in the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Selected students will minor in Entrepreneurship, enjoy unique faculty mentoring experiences, have access to Distinguished Lecturers, meet face-to-face with Executives in Residence, and have opportunities to intern in areas of their business interests. 5 Razor s Edge Shark Talent Scholarship Program: The Razor s Edge Shark Talent Performing and Visual Arts Leadership Scholarship program is designed for first time in college freshmen who have been active in community or high school arts programs and are passionate about using the arts to bring people together. 6 Honors College Information Session: The Honors College offers unique opportunities for students to engage in a vibrant student and faculty community that integrates, promotes, and complements all university experiences, including the premier programs noted in this application. Students in the Honors Program discuss and explore global issues and cultures; conduct multidisciplinary research; develop an appreciation for the arts; contribute to team endeavors; and serve in leadership roles in the classroom, campus organizations, and the community. An interview is not part of the selection process for the Honors Program. All students are welcome to participate in an information session. The information session will be a conversation with a current honors faculty member and current honors student and will help the student determine how this program would be of value. A separate application for the Honors Program is required.
