Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 builds upon this inherent scalability and processing power to provide an ideal platform for enterprise-scale workloads. Windows Server 2008 R2 for Integrity Systems offers a foundation optimized for the most compute-intensive and critical business analytics and enterprise applications. Windows Server 2008 R2 provides a fault-resistant platform suitable for high-end RISC/UNIX system replacement, floating-point intensive applications, and applications that share data extensively among processes. Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 further enhances the virtualization capability, remote desktop services, power management and Windows 7 integration. The hot-pluggable component support and simplified clustering in Windows Server 2008 R2, when added to the reliability, availability, and scalability (RAS) features of the Integrity systems, enable customers to confidently move proprietary RISC/UNIX and mainframe implementations to a standards-based architecture with improved agility and total cost of ownership (TCO). Windows Server 2008 R2 for Itanium-Based Systems offers the following high-end features and capabilities: Support for 2 terabytes of RAM Scalable to up to 64 IA64 sockets Hot Add/Replace Memory and Hot Add/Replace Processor support Eight-node failover cluster support Fault-tolerant memory synchronization Licensing rights to run an unlimited number of virtual instances of Windows Server 2008 R2 Integrity servers are rigorously tested and certified for Windows Server For a complete list of supported Integrity servers, visit the OS support matrix at: Available OEM licenses: Windows Server 2008 per processor license, Windows Server 2008 per server license for up to 4 processors and Windows Server 2008 per processor license for up to 8 processors. All Windows Server 2008 kits include: Smart Setup CD - contains essential software every customer needs to install, configure, and manage Integrity servers with Windows. Smart Update DVD - The Smart Update DVD contains security fixes and critical updates to the operating system from Microsoft. Reinstall Image DVD - When you purchase an Integrity server with a Windows Server operating system from HP, a license for the latest version of the operating system is included along with downgrade rights to previous versions of the operating system. Depending on the option ordered, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2 is installed on the system. Reinstall image DVDs for currently shipping operating systems are also included in the media kits in order to upgrade or downgrade the operating system as needed. Documentation - All necessary documents related to the Operating Systrem are available on HP Smart Setup CD. CALs or Client Access Licenses - The Windows Server per processor license contains 1 CAL. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) - The CoA label will be attached to the physical server.
