5 Carrier / Service Provider Guide Welcome to Watson Networks! We're pleased you have chosen to partner with us for your voice services. Our mission is to provide a great customer experience throughout your on- boarding, and beyond. If at any?me you feel you are not being heard or taken care of, please reach out to our team immediately. The Watson Networks account manager assigned to assist you with your on- boarding, will be available to assist you throughout the process and is quickly working on your account set- up. Specifica5ons for Voice Inter- op & Configura5on Watson Networks has mul?ple geographically redundant signaling proxy facili?es in the United States. The specifica?ons below provide detail as to what should be expected. SBC (Session Border Controller) IP Informa5on Watson Networks employs mated pairs of SBC's for signaling redundancy. For origina?on services, please ensure that both IP addresses provided are configured for inbound traffic in the event that one SBC is offline. The account manager assis5ng with on- boarding will be providing these IP addresses during the on- boarding kick- off call, or via the welcome . SIP (Session Ini5a5on Protocol) Watson Networks SIP signaling protocol is designed for RFC2833 only. If any other method is used, calls will fail to set up. Allowed Ports for Media/Audio If a customer PBX is protected by a firewall, manufacturer compliance will need to be verified that the firewall has the ability to act as either a SIP ALG or a Back- to- Back User Agent (B2BUA). The following ports are required to allow for full 2- way audio: UDP port 5060 must be opened to support SIP signaling UDP ports ,000 must be opened either sta?cally or dynamically (ALG) to allow for audio Watson Networks uses mul?ple IP addresses to allow media from its gateways Voice Services Page 5 of 6 (855)

6 Carrier / Service Provider Guide Traffic Directing Currently Watson Networks u?lizes 2 core proxy servers (SBCs) East Coast - proxy1.ipclec.com West Coast proxy2.ipclec.com If at any (me our system no(ces an issue on our network, traffic from the degraded SBC will be automa(cally directed to the alternate datacenter / SBC. Please use hostnames instead of hard coding IPs Supported DTMF Watson Networks supports out- of- band DTMF outlined in RFC2833. Dial Plans Watson Networks supports E.164 for inbound calling only. This is an interna?onal recognized standard characterized by a "+" followed by the country code, then phone number. For example: Local & Long Distance: Interna?onal: IP Protocols Watson Networks requires that all SIP and audio be delivered via UDP, in packets no larger than 1350 bytes. TCP is not supported. Supported Codecs The following codecs are supported by Bandwidth: G711 u- law (G722 will be transcoded) T.38* *Note: If a downstream carrier does not support T.38, fall back is G711 u- law.
