2 OBJECTIVES & SKILLS Learning objective(s) for part 1 This courses aims at studying international business law issues through entities, operations and jurisdictions. for the Part 2 - Introduce technical aspects of project management to participants - Give access to project management jobs and to The 5 year MSc (Master of Science) program (International Business Project Management IBPM) developed by Idrac with CESI Engineering school and under an «Engineers Conférence des Grandes Ecoles» accreditation. Target skills and learning outcomes for part1 - Develop an understanding of the legal tools in international business environment - Discover international organizations and regulations - Study how to manage and minimize international trade disputes arising out of international transactions and international contracts for the part 2 - Understand professional project management techniques and major characteristics, steps and tools of project management. - Be able to analyze internal and external stakeholders of an international project and its key success factors. Course description for part 1 The course is divided into 4 parts. In each part, the teacher will refer to practical examples and mini case study with a view to easing the students understanding. The course enables students to get a legal culture dealing with international law issues. They should understand what international transactions entail and how to deal with international disputes arising out international transactions and contracts. for part 2 This course will provide students the opportunity to discover main aspects of IBPM MSc program. Consequently the course is structured by an inductive approach helping students to have access to the technical, (Project Management) Strategic (Stakeholder s management) and International (intercultural and specific dimension of international negotiations) dimensions of the IBPM Master program. To debrief the course, students will be required to prepare a group work and a group presentation to experiment their possibilities in the concerned program topics. 2
