His extensive experience with institutions and government agencies, as well as the management of interdisciplinary project teams form the basis for his advice. Before joining E-Bridge, Dr Dammer worked in the regulatory management department at E.ON Ruhrgas and was responsible for the supervision of foreign gas markets, in particular for the development and assessment of the regulatory framework. Arne Dammer studied at the University of Mannheim and received his doctorate in economics from the University of Münster. Susanne Dornick has been working in the energy industry for more than 11 years. The focus of her work includes European electricity market design, cross-border market integration, generation, and trading. Susanne Dornick also supports transmission system operators in the areas of system security, market integration and IT project management and implementation. Before working as a consultant, she was employed for several years in regulatory management at E.ON Global Commodities and for a number of years was responsible for energy contract management in the field of system operation at TenneT TSO, and worked on various projects as part of the European Regional Initiatives. Susanne Dornick studied energy and environmental engineering at the University of Applied Science Zittau/Görlitz.

Before becoming a consultant he worked for several years for a Dutch transmission system operator where he was responsible for network development planning and system operation. In 7 years he has supported over 20 transmission system operators worldwide as part of a benchmark project. In addition, he has advised numerous power generators and regulators worldwide. Bart Franken studied Electrical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Vigen Nikogosian studied Economics at the University of Hohenheim and obtained his doctorate from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. Oliver Obert ¼¼Process Management ¼¼IT Management ¼¼Project Management ¼¼Asset Management Oliver Obert has been working in the energy industry for more than 14 years and joined the E-Bridge team in October His main work focuses on business process modelling and optimisation, specification and implemen tation of IT management (among others, for system security calculations, minute reserve marketing, electricity and gas processes) and project management/it project management for complex international cooperation projects with a large number of stake holders. He is currently also involved in the evaluation of incentive regulation. He mainly advises TSOs, DSOs and public utilities. Before joining E-Bridge he worked for almost 3 years for SWM Infrastruktur and 5 years for E.ON Netz (today TenneT TSO). His other areas of expertise include processes adaption and asset management, as well as maintenance and service concepts for process management in incentive regulation. Olaf Rhein studied Electrical Engineering at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. He worked in national and international projects for generation companies, network operators and authorities with a wide range of topics. He gained an excellent base of technical understanding concerning all interdependencies in the electrical energy system. In all of these tasks he is able to combine the technical understanding with market mechanisms and commercial issues. Dr Tobias Veith ¼¼Energy Markets Tobias Veith has many years of experience in project management. As an economist, Dr Veith has in-depth knowledge of the central themes of European market integration. These include market design in regulated energy markets, pricing new products and solving questions from multi-market contacts of power generators. Before moving to E-Bridge, Dr Veith was involved in projects concerning regulation and competition questions for Federal ministries and companies at the ZEW for over 5 years. Tobias Veith studied Economics at the University of Mannheim and the Toulouse School of Economics. He obtained his doctorate from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.
7 Transmission systems and market integration The growing international cooperation between transmission and district gas system operators has led to an increased number of regional projects throughout Europe to promote European market integration, as well as European cooperation to ensure system safety.
