2 and the European Union The European Union has become an important part of our lives and influences many areas of our daily routine. Mutual exchange and being able to live, learn and work anywhere in the European Union means that Europe is becoming continuously closer. Borders, other languages and cultures are no longer seen as barriers that cannot be overcome, but rather as aspects that enrich and benefit our quality of life. The European Union has developed into a region of and for almost 500 million people where mutual exchange is part of daily life the year of the European Election. As such, 2014 will most probably be dominated by issues on which this newly published flyer Baden Württemberg and the European Union provides important background knowledge for the reader.
