Legend
Age of Enlightenment and crowning of prince Louis in 1774 Tries to get back the money that they gave to George Washington Marie Antoinette spending all of Frances money wile the lower class people do all the work The monarch is in severe financial trouble so they tax the pour When the lower classes do not want to pay their taxes it usually results in violence and also they 1st and 2nd class pay no taxes A large portion of the workers harvest goes to doesn t go back to them and also the price of bread goes up a lot (start of the incubation stage Rioting and bakeries are raided King Louis summons the estates general and gives every estate 1 vote which isn't very fair 1789 the National Assembly is formed of the 3rd estate which is 98% of the population The king locks them out of their building but they find an indoor tennis court to stay in Tennis court oath Maximilian Robespierre and Georges Danton lead the jacobin club also with the cornet de Mirabeau But some of them want to kill the king when others just want equality Start of the French Revolution May 1789 and the start of the moderate stage July 14th 1789, raiding of the hotel (to get rifles) and the storming of the bastille A large acceptance of violence somewhat cause by jean Paul Marat (guy that lives in a bath tub)
Jean Paul Marat writes the friend of the people which gets people more afraid and/ or angry about the revolution The storming of the kings palace in Versailles. With the intent of killing the queen but she flees through a secret door The king comes out of his room an talks with the angry mob and agrees to share power with the revolutionaries (start of the crisis stage) Violence increases even more The making of the revolutionary bonnet June the king and queen try to flee the country to Austria Radicals protesting that the king should be killed for what he tried to do which leads to a lot of them getting killed Big separation between the moderates and the radicals Making of the guillotine/the national razor The killing and fleeing of the nobility France declares war to Austria and right away they lose part of their land The duke of Brunswick writes a letter saying that if the king isn't reinstated then he will burn France to the ground King Louis is stripped of his name as king and is put into jail France becomes the French Republic (September ) No more Christian faith Robespierre says that if Louis isn't dead the revolution can not live on
January execution of king Louis Counter revolutions occur War on France continues but napoleon manages to push the United Kingdom back The radicals take control over the moderates Killing of jean Paul Marat Jean Paul Marat becoming a symbol in most churches The Community of public safety and the revolutionary tribunal are formed The reign of terror begins Secret police and spies are put everywhere 40,000 people are killed for crimes against liberty October execution of Marie Antoinette The great terror begins Robespierre goes insane and creates a new religion called the cult of the supreme being 13 July execution of Robespierre (the start of the recovery stage) 14 The great terror ends 15 A new government called the directory is formed which the intent of not letting all the power get into the Ahmed of one person 16
A lot of people want to reinstate the monarch Napoleon stops the ability for people to have a popular uprising Napoleon then becomes a general and is sent to take control of the french armies Napoleon kicks Austria out of the war and then later stages a coup against the directory and becomes the new monarch I don t think that the French Revolution was effective because it just ended up with someone worse on top of everyone else. It did change society for a wile and it changed it forever but again, it just ended up with napoleon on top. Some things that changed are; the economic crisis got better because napoleon built a bank and the price of bread went down. And some things that stayed the same are; there is still one person on top of everyone else and France is always going to was with other countries.
