4 PRINTING METHODS Chick Invitations wedding stationery is professionally printed using one of three printings methods: flat (digital) printing, letterpress, or foil stamping. FLAT PRINTING Ink is transferred to paper by a digital press with the ink laying flat to the paper leaving a smooth finish. Flat printing produces high quality MIXING PRINTING METHODS You can use different printing methods for each piece in your order. Focusing on the main card for letterpress or foil stamping and then using flat printing for the other cards is a good way to stay within your budget. You can also mix printing methods on a single piece. CUSTOMIZATION We offer rounds of revisions to ensure that your stationery truly becomes your own! Picking out your own fonts and colors can really set your stationery apart. Fun additions like edge painting and die cutting can make your suite even more unique. For more font options, please refer to our Etsy shop. Additional rounds of edits will be $ each. POPULAR FONT STYLES 9 BURGUES 9 BODEGA 9 BICKHAM prints in a wide variety of colors, making it ideal for photo cards, designs with multiple colors, or with large areas of color. All designs are available in flat printing. EDGE PAINTING Ink is applied to the edge or thickness of the paper for a small touch of color. 9 MONTE CARLO LETTERPRESS Ink is pressed down into the paper, creating an impression. Blind letterpress - no ink, just impression, produces a subtle, elegant look. Usually letterpress designs are limited to - colors. Minimal ink coverage works best for letterpress. All designs are available in letterpress printing. FOIL STAMPING A heated die is used to press metallic foil to paper, leaving an impression similar to letterpress. Foil works best with minimal designs without delicate lines or large areas of color, and can be paired with letterpress. All designs are available in foil printing. You may choose any color, but please note that brighter/darker colors tend to work best. Edge painting works best on our 0 lb. stock. DIE CUTTING A special die is used to trim the paper into various shapes. Standard options are shown here, but custom shapes are available upon request. 6 ENVELOPE PRINTING TIMELINE RETURN & RESPONSE ENVELOPE Your return address and response envelope address can be flat printed, letterpressed or foil stamped on standard light colored envelopes using dark inks. Please note: Using dark envelopes will require foil stamping with metallic or white inks. GUEST ADDRESSING Your recipient addresses can be flat printed on standard or light colored envelopes. Standard addressing includes using the same fonts used on your invitation suite for the mailing address. You may choose color from our color chart for the address printing.
