1 LG Optimus One Common Procedures Call Functions Call basics Answer call To answer an incoming call, tap and slide Drag to Answer. Block incoming calls To block calls, follow these steps: 2. Tap Contacts. 3. Tap the contact you want to block. 4. Press the Menu key. 5. Tap Options. 6. Tap to select (turn on) the Send calls directly to voic check box. OR 3. Tap Call settings. 4. Tap Call reject. 5. Tap Call reject again. 6. Tap one of the following options: Off: To turn call reject off. Reject on list Reject all calls: To reject all calls. 7. Tap Call reject list. 8. Press the Menu key. 9. Tap New number. 10. Tap one of these options: Contacts: To select the contact from your contact list. Call logs: To select the contact from your call log. New number: To enter a new number. Dial To make a call, follow these steps: Using the keypad 1. From the Home screen, tap the blue Phone icon. 2. Tap the Dialer tab, if necessary. 3. Enter the phone number to call. 4. Tap the green Phone icon. Using the phone book 2. Tap Contacts. 3. Tap the contact you want to call. 4. Tap the number you want to call. Using speed dial Speed dial is not supported. End Call To end a call, tap the End key. Hold Call

2 To hold a call, tap the Hold icon. Mute Call To turn on or turn off mute during a call, follow these steps: To mute While on a call, tap Mute. To unmute While a call is muted, tap Mute again to unmute. Mute Incoming Call To immediately mute an incoming call's ring, press the Volume key on the right side of the device. Speakerphone To turn on or turn off the speakerphone, follow these steps: Speakerphone on While on a call, tap Speaker. Speakerphone off While on speakerphone, tap Speaker again. Caller ID Incoming ID How incoming caller ID it works: Incoming caller ID shows information about incoming calls on the display screen. It automatically shows the caller's name and phone number if it is in the phone book. When the information is not in the phone book, it only displays the caller's number. Incoming caller ID is on by default. Outgoing ID Enable To enable outgoing caller ID so people you call can see your number, follow these steps: 3. Tap Call settings. 4. Tap Additional settings. 5. Tap Caller ID. 6. Tap Show number. Outgoing ID Restrict To restrict outgoing caller ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these steps: 3. Tap Call settings. 4. Tap Additional settings. 5. Tap Caller ID. 6. Tap Hide number. Picture ID Set To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

3 Note: You can assign picture ID to contacts stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. 2. Tap Contacts. 3. Tap the contact you want to change. 4. Press the Menu key. 5. Tap Edit contact. 6. Tap the Picture ID icon in the top left corner of the screen. 7. Tap one of the following options: Pick from gallery 1. Tap the desired category. 2. Tap the desired photo. 3. Tap inside the frame and drag to the desired location. 4. Touch and hold the frame border and then drag to adjust frame size. 5. Tap Save. Take a picture 1. Frame the subject. 2. Press the Camera icon to take a picture. 3. Tap the Edit icon. 4. Tap inside the frame and drag to the desired location. 5. Touch and hold the frame border and then drag to adjust frame size. 6. Tap Save. Ringer ID Set To assign a ringer to a contact, follow these steps: Note: You can assign ringer ID to contacts stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. 2. Call Settings DTMF Tones Turning off DTMF tones (tap tones) is not supported. Your phone can send a number to the network as dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones. DTMF tones are used to communicate with automated systems that require you to type a number such as a code, password, or credit card number. DTMF tones are on by default. You cannot turn off DTMF tones. Fixed Dialing Family Mobile does not support fixed dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow these steps: 3. Tap Call settings. 4. Tap Fixed Dialing Numbers. 5. Tap Disable FDN. 6. Enter the PIN2. Default PIN2 is Tap OK. Phone line selection We're sorry, but this is not an available feature on your particular phone model.

4 Volume Call To raise or lower the volume of the earpiece, press the Volume key (on the right side of the phone) up or down while on a call. Volume Ring To raise or lower the ringtone volume, follow these steps: 3. Tap Sound. 4. Tap Volume. 5. Tap and slide the Ringtone slider to the desired setting. 6. Tap OK. Call Timer Reset To reset or clear call timers Call timers approximate the time you have used on phone calls. Call timers do not accurately show how much time Family Mobile bills. Family Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in seconds. To reset call timers, follow these steps: 3. Tap Call settings. 4. Tap Call duration. 5. Tap one of the following options: o Last Call o All Calls o Dialed Calls o Received Calls 6. To switch between calls, tap the Swap calls icon in the top left corner of the screen. To join the two calls, tap Merge calls. Conference calling Have private conversations To speak privately with one caller in a conference call and put the other callers on hold, follow these steps: 1. While on a conference call, tap Manage. 2. Tap the green Split icon beside person you want to speak to privately. Start conference call Place the first call before using call conferencing. To add additional callers to the conference, follow these steps: 1. Tap Add call. 2. Perform the following actions: o Enter a new phone number, and tap the green phone icon. OR o Tap the Contacts tab o Tap the desired contact. o Tap the number you wish to call. 3. Tap Merge calls. 4. To add additional callers tap Add call. Tap to select (turn on) the Bluetooth check box. 5. Tap Bluetooth settings. 6. On the other device, turn on Bluetooth to make it discoverable. 7. Tap Scan for devices. 8. On the Bluetooth devices list, tap the device for pairing. 9. If required, enter the password, and tap OK. o Note: The default password is 0000 or Tap Pair. 11. On the other device, accept the pairing. 12. Navigate to the file you wish to transfer Tap Share. 15. Tap Bluetooth. 16. Tap the device you are paired with. 17. On the other device, accept the file. Bluetooth Turn off and disconnect To turn off Bluetooth connectivity, follow these steps: 3. Tap Wireless & networks. 4. Tap to clear (turn off) the Bluetooth check box. 19 Device Hardware Battery/SIM Battery- Charge To charge the battery, follow these steps: Note: If the battery level is below 25%, use the AC adapter instead of a car charger or USB cable. 1. Connect the small end of the charger cable to the USB port on the bottom of the phone. 2. Plug the other end of the charger cable into a wall outlet. If using the USB cable, plug the other end into a USB port on a computer. Battery Insert / remove To insert or remove the battery, follow these steps: To insert 1. Insert your fingernail under the back cover at the top of the phone. 2. Lift the cover off of the phone. 3. Insert the battery with the gold contacts facing the gold contacts on the phone.

Lift and remove the battery. 4. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner facing out. 5. Replace the battery with the gold contacts facing the gold contacts in the battery compartment. 6. Replace the back cover and snap into place.

23 Liquid damage indicator (LDI) Each Family Mobile phone includes an indicator that shows if it has been subjected to water, thereby voiding the warranty. Tap SD card & phone storage. 4. Tap to select (turn on) the Mass storage only check box. 5. Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable. 6. Tap Turn on USB storage. 7. Tap OK. 8. On the computer, when the Removable Disk window appears, click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer. 9. Click OK. 10. When you are done accessing files, double-click the Safely Remove Hardware icon. 11. Select USB Mass Storage Device. 12. Click Stop. 13. Select USB Mass Storage Device. 14. Click OK. 15.
