1 Copenhagen Child Anxiety Project Department of Psychology University of Copenhagen Øster Farimagsgade 2A 1353 Copenhagen K Heidi.riiber@psy.ku.dk or year postgraduate training: CBT for children and adolescents. The Copenhagen Child Anxiety Project placed at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Psychology, offers an intensive evidence-based 2-year postgraduate training in CBT for children and adolescents. The postgraduate training consists of 90 hours of theoretical education running over 1 year and 1 year of supervision (12 x 6 hours, of these a minimum of 30 hours will be based on video recordings of the psychotherapy). The supervision will be carried out in groups of 6-8 participants. The 2- year training program has a limited amount of places and participants are therefore encouraged to register as soon as possible. The supervision will only be carried out if there are 6-8 participants registered. An additional waitlist will be created if registrations surpass this number. The aim of the postgraduate training is to give the participants a thorough understanding of CBT theory and methods as well as security in practicing CBT with children and adolescents. The postgraduate training will integrate theoretical education, supervision and practical therapeutic work within the CBT framework. All modules contain both theoretical teaching, discussion of literature and methods as well as exercises in applying the methods. All trainers are either approved specialists in CBT or researchers in the field affiliated to different universities or both. No more than 30% of the training will be provided by psychiatrists. No more than 25% of the participants will be of non-academic professions. The education consists of 5 modules. The duration of the modules is between 12 and 30 hours, starting at 9:00 and ending at 16:00. The teaching language will in most modules be English. There can be no more than 25 participants at each module and 6-8 participants in the supervision groups. The postgraduate training is offered to psychologists and psychiatrists (in training). The 2-year post-graduate training program, containing both theory and supervisions of own work, full-fills the criteria the Danish Psychological Associations Specialist in Psychotherapy, the specialist module ( ) and 90 hours for the Specialist in Child Psychology ( ). 1
2 The theoretical education may also be obtained without supervision. This may be of interest to persons who do not need the approval of the Danish Psychological Association and who have the opportunity of receiving supervision elsewhere. The price for the 2-year postgraduate training consisting of 90 hours of theory and 72 hours of supervision will be ,- kr. The price for the 1-year course consisting of 90 hours of theory will be ,- kr. Theoretical modules may also be taken separately to the prices mentioned below.
