7 2017 SAFETY HIGHLIGHTS AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION 1 This available safety innovation uses a forward camera and radar sensors to detect rapidly closing speeds to the vehicle ahead or pedestrians in your path. If a potential forward collision is detected, audible and visual warning notifications will alert the driver. If the driver does not react to avoid the impact, the system can provide full braking assistance at speeds under 75 kilometres per hour (vehicle detection) or under 65 kilometres per hour (pedestrian detection). BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM 2 AND REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT 3 The available Blind Spot Detection system uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in the driver s blind spot and provides both an audible and a visual alert to help keep you aware as you move down the road. When reverse gear is selected, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side, even before they come into view of the standard rearview camera.
