3 Tax Prep Fee Survey What is everyone else doing? As a business owner, it s a question you ask often. Whether it s pricing, products, services, hours of operation, or advertising, you want to know how you compare to your competition. You might be a risk-taker, looking for the big opportunity to differentiate your business and capitalize on a competitive edge. Or, you may be risk-averse and simply want peace-of-mind, knowing you are competitive in the marketplace. Either way, you want to be, and need to be, in the know about what everyone else is doing. We have conducted a nationwide survey of tax professionals to collect and compile important statistics about preparation fees, pricing models, and other data related to how preparers charge for their services. 2,600+ tax professionals participated in the survey. The survey produced some excellent data, and A LOT of it! We hope you find this informative and helpful as you head into the 2013 tax filing season. James Stork, Senior Vice President of Drake Software, shares the results of a recent survey conducted by Drake Software about tax preparation fees. If you have any questions about the results or would like to share feedback, please James.Stork@DrakeSoftware.com. 2
