8 The standard features of an Thule Omnistor awning Quick release The telescopic support legs are very easy to unfold. They are lowered vertically from the front frame and stand automatically in the correct position to be set at the right height using the Quick Lock system. This means that the support legs never come too close to the vehicle panel. The dual-purpose facility ensures that the awning can be set up on any base. This is done either by securing it with stakes in a natural base or using the special holders which can be assembled on the panel. Quick-Lock The height of the support legs can easily be set or adjusted using the patented Quick Lock system. All Thule Omnistor awnings have this innovative and extremely user-friendly system. Awning fabric The top quality PVC fabric used for Thule Omnistor awnings is pressed down along both sides and has a coating. This coating keeps the fabric colour fast, watertight, washable, and durable. It not only ensures a high degree of scratch-resistance, but also increases the UV-resistance and heat-resistance properties. The fabric may be rolled up for a few days, even if it is wet. The highfrequency joint finish also ensures a high degree of watertightness. 8

9 Patented locks The double security lock ensures extra safety when the vehicle is moving. Once the awning is closed, the front frame is bolted by the patented locks at both ends of the awning. The locks are automatically unbolted when the awning is opened using the telescopic handle. The Thule Omnistor 5003, 8000, 6002, and 6900 have this double security lock, whilst the Thule Omnistor 2000 is fitted with manual locks. Sturdy and stable profiles All awning parts are made from extremely strong material. Each part which is assembled in the awning, as well as the casing, are subjected to strict requirements. Telescopic handle Absolutely simple! You open or close your awning in no time at all using the telescopic handle. The handle is standard for all awnings with spring arms and is available in two different lengths, 102 to 155cm or 130 to 190cm (depending on the type of awning). Monoblock & Spring arms The combination of the utmost sturdy spring arms and the monoblock makes the Thule Omnistor awnings extremely stable. Normal upward and downward movements are absorbed to protect the vehicle panel (no extra pressure). The double steel cables in the retractable arms ensure that the Thule Omnistor awning is resistant to wind and also guarantee maximum fabric tension. Adapters The awnings can be attached to the vehicle using one of the many adapters. The adapters are made of stainless aluminium. They are anodised or powder coated, depending on the application, and are available per set or full length. Not standard for series 6 awnings. We have a team which is working constantly to follow up new developments to provide a solution as soon as possible. 9

19 BOX COLOURS Choose the cassette colour which suits your vehicle best. Thule Omnistor strives to improve both quality and aesthetics. Cassettes are available in a multitude of colours so finding one that ties-in with your vehicles colour scheme should be easy. Depending on the type of awning, you have a choice of powder coated white, aluminium, or anthracite. 22 ACCESSORIES Hold down side strap kit Prevents the awning and front tent from damage due to high winds or storms. Attach to the support legs in order to prevent damage to the fabric. Can easily be used in combination with a Safari tent or Rain and Sun Blocker. Consists of 2 black straps (both 3m), installation material, and supports. Storage bag supplied. (Not for Thule Omnistor Caravan Style and Thule Omnistor 2000). # Hold down kit Prevents the awning and front tent from flying up. Can also be used with the Thule Omnistor Caravan Style and Thule Omnistor # Motorkit A retro fitted motor kit accessory has been developed exclusively for the Thule Omnistor Includes remote control and relay. A safety device ensures that the awning cannot be opened whilst the vehicle is being driven. Simple connection to a 230V supply (with a 12V connection you can use a 300 Watt inverter, which is available from a dealer). Settings are programmed digitally so that the frame always closes correctly. There is a hidden emergency key so that the awning can be operated at any time, even during a power failure. white # ano # LED s Specially designed for installation on the inside of the Thule Omnistor LED lights have a longer lifespan and consume less electricity than conventional lighting. Installation is via the fitted channels in the front profile, spring arms, and awning box. The distance between each LED light is 13cm. 25 ADAPTERS Adapters: a solution for every vehicle Whichever vehicle you drive, you will always find an ideal adapter from Thule Omnistor. The never-ending research and modernisation carried out by caravan and camper van constructors means we are constantly obliged to find the perfect solution quickly. Another area in which Thule Omnistor is clearly ahead of the field. All Thule Omnistor panel awnings are supplied with a set of flat adapters as standard. An adapter has to be ordered separately for awnings for roof installation. The use of sealing rubber between the panel and the adapter completely eliminates rainwater drips. 28 AWNING TENTS The no. 1 in awning tents Exceptionally stable system Resistant to water and wind Top quality fabric Fully versatile with removable panels Front panel can be rolled up separately. Modular construction The Safari-Residence tent consists of two PVC removable side panels and one front panel (also in PVC). This tent is easy to install. The front panel slides into the lead rail of the awning. For the connection between the awning fabric and the side panel, the awning fabric is kept in place by using a clamping profile. The side and front panels are then inserted into the same profile to complete the connection. The connection of the side panels to the vehicle is completed by sliding the side panels into a mast profile which is then placed by the vehicle wall. This mast profile can be adjusted in height and has a double rubber profile which seals the gap between the side panel and the vehicle wall. The diagonal support between the mast profile and the clamping profile ensure high stability. 28

The open space between vehicle and ground can be sealed by installing the windslip, which is supplied as standard. The front panel can be rolled up separately and the front panel window has a zipper from a length of 3.50m onwards. The left hand side panel has a ventilation strip which can be closed. Curtains are available as an option in grey or blue. For a length of 5m or more, you must order a set for 4 windows. For storing your Safari Residence easily, you can order a set of solid luxury Safari storage bags (# ) as an option. Note: Small is not available for the Thule Omnistor A Safari Residence is supplied with a fixed slope. If the slope of your awning is different from this grid, you must indicate this when ordering. 30 AWNING TENTS Top quality fabric Fully versatile with removable panels Front panel can be rolled up separately The Safari Room tent consists of two separate PVC side panels and a front panel (also in PVC). This tent can be installed very quickly. The front panel is slid into the lead rail of the awning. The side panels are hung up by means of tension rafters introduced between the awning box and the lead rail. They are joined to the front profile by means of tent clips with anti-slip strips. A double profile connects the side and front profiles and the side panel allows you to connect to the vehicle by pressing the foam band against the vehicle wall. An optional tension rafter ensures better stability. The open space between vehicle and ground can be sealed using the wind-slip, which is supplied as standard. The front panel window has a zipper from a length of 3.00m onwards. The left side panel has a ventilation strip which can be closed. Curtains are available as an option in grey or blue. For a length of 5m or more, you must order a set for 4 windows. For storing your Safari Room, you can order a set of solid luxury Safari storage bags (# ) as an option. Side panels and front panels can also be ordered separately. These panels are always in light grey, whilst a front panel or complete Safari Tent has the same colour as the awning fabric. 30

Specially designed for your Caravan Style Extremely light No gaps anywhere between the awning and the side panels Modern design Large windows for a panoramic view Good ventilation The Safari Style tent consists of two separate side panels and a front panel in grey polyester with PVC edges. The Safari Style is very easy to install. The front panel slides into the front profile. Once the supplied clamping profiles have been attached to the tension arms of the awning, the side panels can be slid in. A simple press of a button on the control panel adjusts the speed and rotation direction. This new ventilator is not only silent, but also extremely low in energy consumption. The aerodynamic function ensures that you no longer need a spoiler. The roller blind has three positions and is standard with every Omni-Vent. The adjustable insect screen on the inside is only supplied with the manual roof light. All materials are made of impact-resistant and weather-resistant plastics. The roof light is mounted with special clamps so that it is not necessary to drill through the roof, apart from the opening itself. The supplied interval tubes simplify mounting with roof thicknesses from 25mm to 50mm. For roof thicknesses from 40 to 60mm, there is an additional kit (# ). 65

66 OMNI-STEP The ideal help Extremely solid, yet very light Safe Maximum static load of 200kg The favourite of many vehicle manufacturers The Omni-Step is available in 3 manual and 3 motorised designs, all of which have different sizes. The manual step ladders have to be unfolded and folded by hand. The motorised versions are operated using a switch and conform to the EMV and CE standards. The formulated quality standards exceed European standard EN1646. A switch for the connection of a warning lamp in the vehicle is supplied as standard so that you would not be able to drive away with the step out. The corners of the step are rounded and give light in the darkness. Optional: For optimal visibility, your motorised Omni-Step ( post 2003 / not for Slide out 700) can be fitted optionally with a set of LED lights (1 set per step). A relay with motorised steps ensures that the steps are folded up when the motor starts. The Step control box can be installed as an option. This ensures that the steps are automatically folded and unfolded when the door is opened and closed. The steps are made of corrugated anodised aluminium, the fastening frame from aluminium or warm zinc plated steel.
