Functions: - active braking intervention: if engine drag torque is not enough to maintain a preset speed on overrun, controlled braking intervention helps to reduce speed automatically - Curve Speed Limiter (CSL): during controlled cornering, speed in the longitudinal direction is reduced if necessary as a function of measured lateral acceleration. The vehicle accelerates back up to desired speed as it exits the corner. - Comfort Dynamic System (CDS): "manual accelerator mode", as it is known, enables the driver to accelerate and reduce speed steadily in two dynamic stages by means of a control on the steering wheel. The desired speed is thus reached more rapidly and the driver can accelerate or slow the vehicle in the flow of traffic without having to estimate the target speed in advance 507 Park Distance Control (PDC) acoustic distance warning of obstacles at the rear of the car. The distance to an obstacle is indicated by an interval tone. The closer the vehicle approaches to an obstacle, the shorter the intervals between the acoustic signals. The acoustic signal switches to a steady tone as soon as the distance between the car and an object detected by the system closes to less than cm.
