Skin Contact / Absorption.. Eye Contact Remove patient to fresh air. Give artificial respiration only if breathing has stopped. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek immediate medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation occurs or persists. Wash contaminated clothing before using. Check for and remove any contact lenses. Flush immediately with water for at least 20 minutes. When heated under fire conditions, tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate gives off carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, irritating/toxic nitrogen oxides and sodium oxides. When exposed to fire or excessive heat for a sufficient period of time, tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate will decompose causing a rapid build-up of pressure inside closed containers. Containers may rupture explosively with a sudden release of large amounts of toxic and irritating gases. Wear NIOSH-approved self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing. Explosion Hazards... Section 06 - Accidental Release Measures Leak / Spill Evacuate and ventilate the area. Swwp up and place in container for disposal. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Only enter area with PPE. Stop or reduce leak if safe to do so. Prevent material from entering sewers. Flush with water to remove any residue. Deactivating Materials Section 07 - Handling and Storage Handling Procedures Use proper equipment for lifting and transporting all containers. Use sensible industrial hygiene and housekeeping practices. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid all situations that could lead to harmful exposure. Storage Requirements Store in a cool place away from heated areas, sparks, and flame. Store in a well ventilated area. Store away from incompatible materials. Do not add any other material to the container. Do not wash down the drain. Do not breathe dust. Keep container tightly closed and dry. Manipulate in a well ventilated area or under an adequate fume hood. Avoid raising dust. Handle and open container with care. Minimize dust generation and exposure - use dust mask or appropriate protection. This product must be manipulated by qualified personnel. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash well after use. In accordance with good storage and handling practices. Do not allow smoking and food consumption while handling.

Chemical goggles, full-face shield, or a full-face respirator is to be worn at all times when product is handled. Contact lenses should not be worn; they may contribute to severe eye injury. Respiratory... If exposure limits are exceeded or irritation is experienced, NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection should be worn. Positive-pressure supplied air respirators may be required for high airborne contaminant concentrations. Respiratory protection must be provided in accordance with current local regulations Gloves...
