Especially when it comes to innovations to tackle the challenges of day-to-day mobility. BMW has now come up with a clever solution that is perfectly crafted: the new BMW Cruise e-bike. The BMW Cruise e-bike gives you tailwind to order. It provides electrical support just when you ask for it. In doing so it combines the speed of a motorised vehicle with the benefits of a bicycle. While others are stuck in traffic jams, you can sail by effortlessly with electrical support up to 25 km/h allowing you to enjoy the thrills of city life and keep pace. How the new BMW Cruise e-bike works. The BMW Cruise e-bike is fitted with an electric motor, but the electrical support is not activated until you start to pedal. The motor adapts to the pedalling power exerted by the rider and you can select the right level of support for every type of terrain. Since it has a built-in speed restriction and the motor output is limited to 250 W, the BMW Cruise e-bike is classified as a pedelec: this means it does not require insurance, a number plate or a helmet. Sustainable efficiency is not just about doing everything yourself: it s also a matter of recognising the expertise of others and putting it to optimum use for your own purposes. This is the case with the new BMW Cruise e-bike. The powerful system made by BOSCH is combined with the long-standing know-how of BMW a true partnership of expertise. The result is outstanding technology that is always user-friendly. The pedelec s powerful 250 W electric motor adapts precisely to the pedal power exerted by the rider. This is calculated by means of a precise 3-sensor concept which measures speed, pedalling frequency and torque 1000 times per second. Whether uphill or downhill, with tailwind or headwind: thanks to the perfect balance of forces you will sense a unique new ride on every trip.

7 Riders can select their own riding mode too, of course using the handlebar display with the innovative BOSCH Intuvia operating system. The electric motor can provide between 0 % and 225 % support for the rider s own force, depending on the setting entirely according to preference and route type. The 400 Wh battery also promises easy handling: it is simple to mount and dismount using the key. It charges in just 3.5 hours, with 50 % charge progress being reached within 90 minutes due to the fast charging mode. When fully charged the range is around 100 km, though this will vary according to the setting selected. It is constantly recalculated during travel so you always know how far you have left with electrical support.

8 CLEAN LINES. IN STRIKING STYLE. The timeless, aesthetically perfect design already familiar from BMW cars and bikes is given a special boost in the new BMW Cruise e-bike. A prominent design feature is the bullneck design on the front frame which is derived from BMW cars. This gives the bike a broader, more powerful look, though its clear lines and sleek colouring also add a touch of elegance and aesthetic appeal. Like the windscreen panel of the BMW 3 Series Convertible, the frame of the BMW Cruise e-bike is produced by means of hydroforming. The white star pattern and raised BMW inscription accentuate the design of the e-bike, while selected components such as the black Selle Royal Freccia saddle and the 26" design rims round off the bike s high-end appearance.
