4 Advantages Some Advantages of Marmara University University is located in the heart of city Students can study abroad by the exchange programs within the framework of ERASMUS Double major and subspeciality programs can be pursued Students in the campus can benefit from the computer lab Wide range of resources are available at the Central Library (not only books and periodicals, but also visual media such as VCD and DVD collections) There are sorority dormitories in the campus Students get scholarships provided by the Rectorship of Marmara University There are more than 100 student clubs configured according to students aspects and talents Free of charge cultural courses (on Turkish Folk Music, Folk Music and Turkish Classical Music Choir, Theater Plays, Photography, Playing Musical Instruments such as violin, guitar and bağlama) and sports courses (on Table Tennis, Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, Volleyball, Basketball, Boxing and Chess) are provided by the Directorate of Health Culture and Sports.

7 Electrical Conducts research and development projects on the energy generation and transmission devices and systems. Engineering Performs the construction and maintenance of the electricity generating facilities like nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric plants. Management of costs and workforce in the projects. Sets control standarts and protocols for maintaining security and effective functioning of electricty generation and distribution systems, engines and devices. Proposes projects on efficient distribution of produced electrical energy.

8 Electronics Conducts research and development projects on using electricity to process information as in radar, telecommunication and signal processing systems. Performs studies on microelectronic component design and development of electronic circuit systems. Engineering Designs microwave antennas which is used in communication systems. Performs studies on control and automation systems Works on design, implementation, operation and maintenance of industrial, control and medical electronical devices. Conducts R&D and quality control processes on electronics devices.

19 Awards With Innovation Week, winner of the choosen best projects of the 17 Design Competition and 7 R-D Projects Competition which is realized Turkey Exporters' Association in 2012 were taken awards. Prof. Dr. Murat DOĞRUEL who winner the most innovative automative project award submited 'Ulaşım Konformetresi' with Assit. Prof. Alper ŞİŞMAN.

20 Awards Marmara University Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Burak Kılıç and Yağmur Kırkağaç joined in Free Category of Istanbul Technical University Robotics Days 13 with Pidgey project. They were the 4th in Free Category.

21 Awards Marmara University Electrical and Electronics Engineering student Yağmur Kırkağaç won the second award in Dokuz Eylül University IEEE Energy Saving Contest with project ESC# (Energy Saving for Computers).

22 Awards Ranked second in both in Single Line and Multi Line Following Robot Contest at Uludağ University Robotics Days 2012.
