NO Supply of banknotes and coins from the new Swedish series for machinery adjustments The Riksbank will introduce a new series of banknotes and coins during the period The new banknote series will consist of the denominations: 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 krona, and the new coin series of the denominations 1-, 2- and 5 krona. The current 10 krona coin will remain as it is. The 200-krona note and the 2 krona coin are new denominations. The banknotes and coins will have a new appearance with regard to format and design. The banknotes will have new security features. The denominations 20, 50, 200 and 1,000 krona were introduced in the first step on October 1, The 100 and 500 krona notes, as well as three new coins, will be introduced in the second step in October 3, Further information on the changeover can be found at Equipment needs to be adapted Prior to the introduction, all equipment that reads and processes banknotes and coins will need to be adapted. The Riksbank will therefore have banknotes in the denominations SEK 100 and 500, and coins in the denomination 1-, 2- and 5 krona available for machinery suppliers making such adjustments. These banknotes and coins will come from the first full-scale production. The Riksbank will give companies the opportunity to borrow banknotes and coins, and/or come to the Riksbank's test centre situated at Brunkebergstorg 9-11 in Stockholm, to adapt their equipment. The purpose is to ensure that equipment for handling banknotes and coins can be adjusted in good time so the new series can be introduced as smoothly and cost-efficiently as possible. How to apply The companies interested in carrying out tests can borrow banknotes and/or coins, and/or use the Riksbank's test centre. A company applies to borrow banknotes and/or coins, and/or use the Riksbank's test centre, by completing the enclosed application form (annex 1 for banknotes and annex 2 for coins) and returning it to: 1 [7]

2 For coins: For banknotes: When a company s application has been received, the Riksbank will check that the company conducts operations in a field that is relevant in this context. The Riksbank will also check that all taxes and social insurances have been paid, that the company is not bankrupt or in liquidation or likely to be declared bankrupt. This check is made with the aid of information from the Swedish Tax Agency. Borrowing banknotes and coins When a company has been approved as an applicant for borrowing banknotes and/or coins, the Riksbank will send an agreement for signature. The agreement will also include security requirements on transportation, storage (premises and cabinets) and handling of banknotes and coins. If the Riksbank finds reason to do so, the Riksbank may also conduct an inspection on the fulfilment of the security requirements, prior to granting the company clearance to collect the banknotes and/or coins. Once the signed agreement has been returned to the Riksbank, the company will be informed and may hence collect the banknotes and/or coins. The company may borrow a maximum of 1,000 banknotes of each denomination in multiples of 100 banknotes, and a maximum of 2,000 coins of each denomination in multiples of 1,000 coins. Banknotes can be collected from Uppfinnarvägen 51 in Märsta on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 8 and 11 am. Coins can be collected from Brunkebergstorg 9-11 in Stockholm on Tuesdays between 9 and 11 am. The company shall give the Riksbank two days notice prior to collecting the banknotes and/or coins. Please note that there will be no collection of banknotes and/or coins at the Riksbank between weeks 26-31, Special requirements when collecting banknotes The banknotes shall be collected from Uppfinnarvägen 51 in Märsta. The banknotes must be collected by a cash-in-transit company authorized to transport banknotes in Sweden. A power-of-attorney must be enclosed, stating clearly that the cash-intransit company is collecting the banknotes for the company. The company is always responsible for the banknotes as soon as they have left the Riksbank. Complimentary agreement for coins Companies who, closer to the exchange, needs to perform additional tests in the field will be able to sign a complimentary agreement for this purpose. The company shall, if interested in this approach, contact the Riksbank by April the latest for further information. Use of the Riksbank's test centre When the company has been approved to use the Riksbank's test centre, the Riksbank will allocate a time for the company to make its tests. The names and 2 [7]

3 personal identity numbers of the people who will visit the test centre must be registered in advance. The company's authorised signatory must confirm that these people are employed at the company, that they are reliable and that they have been assigned to take part in the tests. The following conditions apply for the tests at the test centre: Each respective company may register an interest in carrying out tests during office hours for a maximum of five days in a row. A maximum of one thousand (1,000) banknotes and/or two thousand (2,000) coins, of each denomination, will be supplied by the Riksbank. The tests will be carried out in a special room at the Riksbank that is equipped with 230 V. Access to this room will be through the Riksbank's main entrance and any equipment must be of a size and weight that can be carried through office doorways. A maximum of three people from the company can take part in the tests. No agreement is required to use the Riksbank's test centre. Returning banknotes and/or coins to the Riksbank The banknotes and/or coins shall be returned to the Riksbank at the latest on September 30, 2016: Coins shall be returned to the Riksbank, Brunkebergs torg 9-11, in Stockholm on Tuesdays between 1 and 3 pm Banknotes shall be returned to Uppfinnarvägen 51 in Märsta on Fridays between 9 and 11 am. It is not possible to return banknotes and/or coins during the weeks The company can also purchase the banknotes and/or coins if wanted. The conditions applicable are stated in the agreement for loan of coins and for loan of banknotes respectively. 3 [7]
