Appointed by the Swedish Government and The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education After completing the Master of Science in Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship (KBE) you will be able to stand out in the competition with other masters students because you have acquired hands-on experience from running a real-life project. This means that you actually have been working during a full year with aspects such as Project Management, Strategy Development, Business Modeling, Sales, Marketing, Financing, Organization & Team Dynamics etc. During the second educational year we have a close collaboration with GU Holding (the Holding company of the University of Gothenburg) enabling our students to have an incubation partner offering professional office space and infrastructure. However, I am a bit unsure yet of my true passion. B) Yes indeed. I always follow my gut feeling even though I might not know the end result. 6 Programme content Year 1 LEARNING The first educational year at KBE focus on providing our students with valuable insights regarding different theoretical frameworks on how to becoming a successful entrepreneur or intrapreneur. The learning situation is characterized by a combination of lectures, workshops and working with real-life cases and companies. The students are working with real-life business cases in parallel with the course Venture Creation 30 hec and the Master Thesis. The aim of the second year is to turn knowledge into real insights by experiencing a full venture creation process. A strong emphasis is also put on the students personal development, teambuilding and networking. 7 Year 2 - a project The personal development has for me been one of the most rewarding things that I experienced during the programme. I got the opportunity to develop my individual skills and talents and at the same time learn how to handle my weaknesses and focus on my strengths. The combination between university studies and working in a real-life setting have given me a huge advantage in my current working role. Accessing the incredible network connected to the programme is also a great asset that I bring with me for the rest of my life. Read below what both the students and the owner of the company say about the collaboration and the project: I had run Kocken & Jag for a couple of years and felt during 2012 that I wanted to take the next step with the business. I turned to KBE and GU Holding in order to develop the company to a new level. The resources, network and knowledge connected to KBE created the right potential for me to realise my ambition together with a dedicated student team. The access to new interesting contacts, professional facilities, getting new colleagues along with a new strong owner in GU Holding has been really valuable. I would never get access to all this if it had not been for KBE and the setup of the programme. Collaborating with the student team; Daniel, Ryan and Sveinn has been great fun and I have learnt a lot from them. At the same time I hope they have gained a profound understanding about how it is to run a company.
