3 EXPERIENCE: Mr. Buffington retired from the Colorado Springs Fire Department after 15 years as a firefighter and Fire Investigator in February He founded Rampart Investigations in 1980 to conduct fire and fraud investigations for insurance companies and attorneys and has over 27 years of experience as a fire investigator. He has directly investigated and/or been involved in the investigation of over 5,100 fires as well as other types of insurance fraud. Mr. Buffington has conducted numerous fraud and surveillance investigations and has been court qualified as an expert in Municipal, State and Federal Courts. Mr. Buffington has instructed numerous courses and seminars for various insurance carriers, fire and police departments, and community colleges and has over 1520 hours as an instructor in the field of fire origin and cause investigation.
