3 Dear Colleague, I am pleased to announce that an International Congress entitled Modern Management of Uterine Myomas will be held in Genoa, in April 8 th -9 th This Meeting aims to offer the participants updated evidence on uterine myomas, the most frequent benign gynaecological condition. In this congress, the epidemiology, as well as the pathogenesis, the histological features, the classification systems and the different methods for the diagnosis of uterine myomas will Simone Ferrero President of the Congress be deeply discussed. Furthermore, all available treatments for this disease will be described exhaustively. One session will be focused on the role of the different medical therapies for uterine myomas. In another session, the radiological alternatives to treat uterine myomas will be considered: uterine artery embolization and MRguided focused ultrasound. Finally, the different surgical options for the management of uterine myomas will be exposed: hysteroscopic, open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. In the last session of the meeting the impact of uterine myomas on women s fertility and reproductive outcomes will be faced. Janesh Gupta has published over 100 research papers in scientific journals as well as reviews and book chapters in the fields of fetal medicine, benign gynaecology (including abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia), minimal access surgery.
