2 (SM-G9280) The Galaxy S6 Edge(SM-9280) is a GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and LTE Smart Phone featuring a 5.7-in. dual edge Super AMOLED display with a 2K (2560x1440) resolution capacitive multi-touch screen. With the Android 5.1 operating system to support the multi window display features, it is equipped with a Quadcore 2.1 GHz & Quad-core 1.5 GHz Exynos 7420 processor with 4 GB RAM. For camera system, it includes a rear-facing 16.0 MP CMOS camera that has autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video capability, and a front-facing 5.0 MP CMOS webcam. Connectivity is provided by WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, NFC, GPS, Glonass and Beidou. Sensors include a 6-axis MEMS gyroscope and Accelerometer, 3-axis Electronic Compass, Barometer, Heart Rate sensor, and Ambient light/ Proximity sensor. Power is provided by a 3.85 V, 3000 mah Li-ion battery that supplies a listed 315(2G+4G) hours of standby.

3 3 Design Highlight Exynos 7420 of 14nm process node is applied. Dual SIM card is applied on S6 Edge+, while single SIM card on S6 Edge. Stiffeners are added around battery compartment for S6 Edge+, device body solidity upgraded. Rear camera is of 16 MP, with optical image stabilizer. Memory is upgraded to 4GB, compared to 3GB for S6 Edge; Display upgraded to 5.7 inch, compared to 5.1 for S6 Edge. App dock is now added to side screen function list, while for S6 Edge, it was only a list of re-dail, message, notice check during screenlock and night clock. CPU is with a better cooling effect. Radiating silicone grease and copper films are applied on CPU, with a flake graphite on the opposite wall of internal support. 11 11 Summary Compared to Galaxy S6 Edge, is upgraded with a more stylish ridge around the device body, dual SIM card slots, and removal of the infrared emitter. S6 Edge+ is of modulized design, modules mainly fixed with screws and adhesives, which is easy to repair. 1.Structural difference between S6 Edge+ and S6 Edge: a)noise Cancelling mic moved from top right corner to top left corner, while major mic moved from bottom right to bottom left; b)return and multi-task buttons are as capacitor rings assembled on a flex, glued to interior support in S6 Edge+, while for S6 Edge, it was integrated on the bottom PCB; c)in S6 Edge+, LED strobe, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and microphone are integrated on one flex assembly, earpiece on another, while in S6 Edge, LED strobe, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, earpiece and infrared emitter are integrated on one flex assembly, microphone on another. 2.A curved display is applied on S6 Edge+, with SIM card slot on top while audio jack and data dock on bottom. On S6 Edge, SIM card slot is on the right side. 3.Stiffeners are added around battery compartment for S6 Edge+, device body solidity upgraded. 4.Improvement on display robustness is made with a strengthened package on the four corners with a thickened middle support frame.
