43 FLOORLINE 39 MAINTENANCE SIMPLY CLEAN! A lot of dirt can be dealt with by having large doormats! For the rest, use the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Now and then you should also wipe the floor with a damp cloth, taking care to clean the bevels in the longitudinal direction. For optimum cleaning we recommend Clean it, the system-related EGGER laminate floor cleaner. STUBBORN STAINS? For stubborn stains such as coffee, tea, lemonade, beer, fruit or milk stains, lukewarm water with a squirt of alcohol or vinegar cleaner will be sufficient. Paint, lipstick, ink, tar, nail polish and so on can be removed easily using a conventional absorbent cloth and a universal cleaner. Depending on the stains, cleaning solvent (benzene) or nail varnish remover can also be used. Important: neutralise surface with water afterwards. OPTIMUM PROTECTION FOR LAMINATE FLOORS! Attach felt pads to the feet of all furniture Lift furniture when moving it rather than pushing or dragging Use soft furniture castors Mop up any spillages immediately Do not use steam cleaners DAMAGED NEVERTHELESS? For this reason we feel it is our responsibility to handle our most important raw material, wood carefully and to use it in the best way possible. WOOD, OUR MOST IMPORTANT RAW MATERIAL The long-term securing of sustainable forestry is of the highest priority at EGGER. For production we therefore exclusively use wood from sustainable forestries. 51 FLOORLINE 47 FROM THE TREE TO THE PRODUCT - A CLOSED CYCLE Using the valuable raw material wood in the best way possible is a fundamental concern of EGGER. The corporation therefore counts on fully integrated company locations. There, wood is initially used in a material form. This extends from solid wood production in the sawmill up to the production of wood materials such as laminate floorings. Residual wood and recycling wood that cannot be used for production is used thermally in our own biomass power plants. The CO 2 created in all production stages is in turn absorbed by the regrowing trees and transformed to oxygen. A fully closed biological material cycle is created. In this way EGGER makes more from wood. With their state-of-the-art environmentally friendly production plants, EGGER meets the very high customer quality requirements. The plant locations Wismar and Brilon (both in Germany), where amongst other things laminate floorings are manufactured, are constructed according to the highest ecological standards. They are fully integrated plant locations, where the highest quality is ensured. We have all our products voluntarily and permanently tested for environmental compatibility: the positive ecological balance for our laminate floorings has been determined by PE International and confirmed by the independent DIBU Institute (German Institute for construction and environment).
