3 SECTOR 5 COMPANY PROFILE Background Company Name & Address Sector 5 Holding Group (Pty) Ltd came into existence after identifying a need for support to SME and SMME clients at affordable costs. The expectation was that we would offer SME and SMME client s comparable solutions to that of their larger counterparts in the market. Sector 5 Holding Group (Pty) Ltd was founded in August 2003 and some of our first clients are still existing clients. Sector 5 Holding Group (Pty) Ltd is an Information Technology outsource company that maintain, offer recommendation, support and administer client s IT environments. We are a wholly owned consortium of companies, working towards a common goal. Even though we have a fully operational Call Centre with all the high-tech paraphernalia we believe in personal interaction via remote support and in having bodies onsite. To enable Sector 5 to fix the problem we interact with the client to get a better understanding of the nature of the problem. From past experience we know that how we approach the problem of the client is 70% of problem solving and only 30% technical. The method is event or schedule driven, not utilizing resources but keeping your systems synchronized throughout. With virtually real time actions, your data will stay up to date as they should. Seamless integration into any organization, allowing you to synchronize passwords and all active directory properties from your local site to any external or multi-tenant environment. The system is fully automated once configured leaving you to focus on your business. Taking the hassle out of replications across sites and eliminating preventable admin costs, we will streamline this process. Environment Formats The Password Sync Server The role of the Password Sync Server is to change the passwords on the target server. The Password Sync Server is installed on a single server and all Password Capture Agent systems are configured to use the single Password Server. When the Password Capture Agent sends a password change to the Password Sync Server, the Password Sync Server connects to target system and changes the user s password. The entire process from the user changing their password in Active Directory to the password being changed in target system typically takes less than 30 seconds. The Password Sync Server runs as a web service and can be configured to use customized logic to synchronize multiple target systems. A hosting provider can utilize Password Sync Server to provide their clients a way to sync their Active Directory passwords to a hosted Active Directory site. Its intended target audience is small to medium organizations or hosting providers. The Password Capture Agent The role of the Password Capture Agent is to intercept password changes as they occur on the domain controllers. Since you don t know which domain controller a user is going to use to reset their password, the Password Capture Agent must be installed on all domain controllers. The Password Capture Agent does not interfere with the password change process, it simply intercepts the change request as it happens. When a user s password is changed, the client intercepts it, and passes it off to the Password Sync Server. Simply Sync AD Plug-In The role of the Password Sync AD Plug-In is to sync users and group active directory properties on the target server. The Password Sync AD Plug-In is installed in any member server of source domain. The Password Sync AD Plug-In runs as a back group schedule service.
