4 Cloud formation - definitions vary, but the basic idea is the same Cloud computing is Internet based development and use of computer technology. It is a style of computing in which typically real-time scalable resources are provided as a service over the internet (Wikipedia) Cloud: the new home and business network Cloud Computing is an emerging IT development, deployment and delivery model, enabling real-time delivery of products, services and solutions (i.e., enabling cloud services) over the Internet (IDC) 4

Attributes: Services are sourced via networks and are housed somewhere else Reliability and scalability logic remain hidden giving the illusion of infinite (elastic) capacity.
