The Chococeutical way of Life He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolates
Xyl ceuticals approach to Preventive Dentistry The Problem The new Approach For many years, Preventive Dentistry has ignored the benefits of reducing the bacterial challenge, in part due to primitive and inadequate delivery systems. Emerging, sustained, food based delivery systems can have a major effect on dealing with caries, tooth decay and gum diseases. He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolate is the 4NOGUILT combination of the world s most consumed food of all time, Chocolate, now sweetened with all natural, sustainable, US birch wood XYLITOL and a blend of ingredients to tackle some of dental health s most common diseases. These three are the foundation for our products to become leaders in preventive dentistry.
What makes our Xyl ceutical He lthy Teeth unique? Chocolate Our patent pending process allows us to preserve all the high polyphenols, flavanoids and antioxidant content of our organic cocoa ingredients. A number of studies proves the health benefits of dark chocolate. We only manufacture dark chocolate. Xylitol It is well established that xylitol is clinically effective in reducing cariogenic bacteria and caries levels and that it has antibacterial properties. The challenge is how to best deliver it at therapeutic levels, over time, to favorably tip the caries balance. Novel systems that deliver therapeutic amounts when needed would be a major advance, especially for young children. Our product intends to cover this gap. The blend A modified version of the Bio Active Glass 45S5 formula that among other clinically established benefits, allows for natural tooth re-mineralization.
Background of He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolate (1) He lthy Teeth important advantages for an overall dental health 1- Xylitol Xylitol is a tooth-friendly, non-fermentable sugar alcohol. It appears to have more dental health benefits than other polyalcohols 1. The chemical structure of xylitol facilitates the bond with cations like Ca2+. This interaction allows for Ca2+ to be transported through the gut wall barrier and through saliva may re-mineralize enamel before dental caries form. Cavity-causing bacteria prefer six-carbon sugars or disaccharides, while xylitol is nonfermentable and can not be used as an energy source, interfering with bacterial growth and reproduction. The harmful micro-organisms are starved in the presence of xylitol, allowing the mouth to re-mineralize damaged teeth with less interruption. At least 6 grams of xylitol per day is thought to be needed for dental efficacy; for most chewing gum or breath mints this would require 12 pieces per day. 1 Xylitol also inhibits the growth of Streptococcus pneumoniae, as well as the attachment of Haemophilus influenza on the nasopharyngeal cells. 1
Background of He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolate (2) He lthy Teeth important advantages for an overall dental health 2- Tooth re-mineralization Bioactive glass is considered to be a break through in re-mineralization technology. This is because the current standard treatment for tooth re-mineralization and prevention of decay is slow acting and is dependent on adequate saliva as a source of calcium and phosphorus. Our Dental Chocolate contains a modified version of the Bio Active Glass 45S5 formula that we believe helps promote tooth re-mineralization. While the original Bio Active Glass was designed for use as a tooth restoration or as bone replacement, we have modified it to make it more bio-available through oral consumption.
He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolate potential benefits The chocolate matrix: 1. It has a high level of xylitol and no sugar at all 2. The mono unsaturated fat and the polyphenols in it help with a more complete absorption of the nutrients and/or other added ingredients The modified Bio-Active Glass in the formulation: 1. Aids with tooth re mineralization by acting as a biometric mineralizer matching the body s own mineralizing traits 2. A great source of calcium and phosphorous for strong enamel (elements naturally found in the body) 3. Fights acidity produced by plaque bacteria 4. Helps keep a neutral Oral ph 5. Aids women with increased caries risks due to inadequate salivary calcium levels at different points of their life like ovulation, pregnancy and post-menopause 6. Studies show its ability to reduce tooth hypersensitivity 7. A significant anti-microbial effect against caries pathogens (S. mutans, S. sanguis)
Challenges of delivering fluoride, chlorhexidine and xylitol more effectively The big questions that remain are: What are the effective therapeutic levels of each of these components? How best can each be delivered to the tooth surface over time? Can new technology deliver known therapeutic agents more effectively and with fewer compliance issues than current methods? Unlike Chlorhexidine mouth rinse, which cannot be used by young children and infants because they cannot effectively rinse and spit, and they do not tolerate the taste, Xylitol tastes like sucrose, is sweet, and is non-cariogenic. It is ideal for infants and young children, provided a suitable delivery vehicle can be developed. When to use He lthy Teeth He lthy Teeth Xylitol tooth re-mineralization chocolate can be enjoyed any time of the day, especially after each meal and conditions do not allow for brushing your teeth. Treat yourself to an exceptionally creamy Chocolate XYL CEUTICALS for Life!
