1 Job Family Purpose: Responsible for the design, development and implementation of methods to test and troubleshoot newly developed or redesigned software products. Leadership and Team Development: Senior roles within the Job Family may be assigned additional staff leadership responsibilities as follows. Ensures team members have appropriate job descriptions, titles, measurable and clear career objectives and these are reviewed and supported regularly Ensures SAP administrative responsibilities (e.g. time; vacation; expense approvals) are completed in a timely manner Manages / conducts performance appraisals with meaningful feedback and undertakes on-going work associated with performance management Responsible for identifying skill gaps and ensuring staff are provided with training opportunities Test Manager 4 Provides overall leadership to entire test team Provides input to Project Quality Plan from a System Test perspective; reviews and approves the System Test Plan to ensure it meets the defined standards Reviews the System Test Checklist at the defined checkpoints prior to review Ensures the System Test teams follow the Best Practice defined procedures and processes Creates strategy for test phase of project ensuring test entry/exit criteria are identified, agreed and fulfilled within project targets Provides timely consultation to Test Team Leads on test estimations, testing strategy, testware creation and test execution Provides leadership on testing and oversees recruitment, career growth and skills development of testers Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals using independent judgment in developing methods for obtaining results Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel and serious delays in overall schedules Manages through subordinate supervisors or team leaders, the coordination of activities for results in terms of costs, Expert level understanding and anticipation of the client s needs and an indepth understanding of Intec products and how they are integrated to meet client s needs Full range of knowledge of at least one programming Advanced knowledge of industry standards and procedures in Software Testing Expert level of analytical problem solving skills to major in Computing) or relevant experience plus other Minimum 7 years experience testing role with exposure to a range of different test strategies and tools Previous team leader or management experience within a testing role Services Page 1 of 7 Created Dec 2008
