1 Paazl Magento Extension Manual for using and configuring Paazl in the Magento Admin Version: 1.2.4

2 1. General information Refresh you Magento cache after installation. Make sure you run at least PHP 5.3. Paazl is compatible with Onestepcheckout, Firecheckout and Check it out (Realvine). Other checkout extensions may very well be compatible too, but there we cannot provide any guarantees. Make sure you enable Ajax update shipping/payment methods for Country and Postcode. Be aware that some carriers may want you to provide additional information. Like a (general) Customs description for UPS shipments. Always Enable different shipping address. 3 2. System-Configuration-Shipping Methods-Paazl 1. Enabled: Switches Paazl ON or OFF in the Magento webshop: Set to Yes to activate Paazl Set to No to de-activate Paazl 2. Environment: Connects your shop to a Paazl test or Paazl production account: Set to Testing (staging) if you are connecting to your Paazl test account. Set to Production (ost) if you are connecting to your Paazl production account. 3. Webshop ID: Check your (staging or ost) Paazl account at Instellingen/Account/Mijn gegevens. 4. Password: Check your (staging or ost) Paazl account at Instellingen/Account/Mijn gegevens. 5. Title: Is displayed as a header to your delivery options. 6. Use collo : Multiple (f.i. 3) labels will be printed as: If Yes: 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 If No: 1/1, 1/1 and 1/1 7. Base shipping : Determines whether Paazl applies product prices that include or exclude VAT. When shipping gets serious 3

4 8. Maximum: You can set a maximum to the amount of labels that will be printed per order (regardless of the amount of articles in the order). 9. Insured value: In case extra insurance applies, you can set a default value for each such type of Shipment. 10. Update order status: You can trigger Complete in the Magento status column when you have printed an address label (and the Paazl status has moved to Ready to ship ): If Yes: the Status column updates to Complete If No: the Status does not update to Complete 11. Send shipment confirmation mail: Please check chapter 4 on how to initiate a Paazl update in the Order overview. You can trigger the Magento confirmation mail when the Magento status is set to Complete. Note: this is not the Paazl mail with tracking code! 12. Shipping Label Module: When switched on, you can use the Packing Slip module (Pakbon Module) to print labels in the Magento Admin, or integrate labels with a packing slip. Can only be used if this module has been purchased. Please contact your Paazl account manager for more info. Disable (default) Enable 13. Date Preference Module: When switched on, you can use the Delivery Date module (Bezorgdatum Module). Can only be used if this module has been purchased. Shipping Method Labels: Paazl displays the default reference names of shipping options in the webshop. For instance, AVG is the default reference name for normal PostNL shipments. Example: to change the name AVG, type the following in the box: AVG PostNL overdag Now AVG will be displayed as PostNL overdag. Use a new line for each reference name you wish to change. Check your default reference names in your Paazl account at Instellingen/Account/Overzicht verzendopties (left column). 15. Shipping Method Hints: You can add an extra line of text to each shipping option. It will be displayed when selecting the shipping option. When shipping gets serious 5

6 Use the default reference name followed by a space and the line of text. You may use HTML: AVG <i>tussen en 18.00</i> Check your default reference names in your Paazl account at Instellingen/Account/Overzicht verzendopties (left column). 16. Shipping Method Sort Order: You can set the order of Paazl shipping options in your Magento checkout. Use the default reference names and place them in the order of your preference. 17. COD Payment method: When customer selects a COD delivery, you can display a specific payment method. 18. Group service point : When using a onestep checkout extension, set Update payment methods when chosen shipping method at Yes in this extension. Tip: since the COD price is included in the delivery costs, select here a (COD) payment method with value zero. When you are working with multiple service point networks, you have the opportunity to combine the networks into one Google Map locator. When shipping gets serious 6

7 Set value to Yes. 19. Limit delivery date : In case you are using the Delivery Date Module you can set the amount of days that Paazl applies to display possible delivery dates. Also see 12 in this chapter. Go to chapter 5 for more information on how this module works in Magento. 20. Show configuration. : When using Dynalogic you have specific configuration options. Set value to yes for displaying these options Note: these options only apply to Dynalogic shipping options! 21. Displayed Error Message: You can display your own error message in case something has gone wrong with your Paazl connection When shipping gets serious 7

8 22. Show Paazl : You can switch the Displayed Error Message On or OFF Yes No 23. Version: The version of the Paazl Magento extension that you have installed 3. Modify address on shipping label As of version 1.1.8, you can edit the address on a shipping label directly from the Magento Admin. You can do this by editing the shipping address of the Magento order. When shipping gets serious 8

9 4. Catalog-Manage Products-Edit-Paazl 1. Matrix: When selecting a Matrix, Paazl will display the shipping options and rates that are configured for this particular Matrix. You can find these at Instellingen-Bezorgmatrix in your Paazl account. Selecting a Matrix will overrule the use of Length, Width, Height and Weight (see catalog-manage products-edit) 2. Length: The Length of a product can be used for Matrix selection. In case of multiple Products, Paazl will display the highest Matrix (corresponding with the longest product). In cm. 3. Width: The Width of a product can be used for Matrix selection. In case of multiple Products, Paazl will display the highest Matrix (corresponding with the widest product). In cm. 4. Height: The Height of a product can be used for Matrix selection. In case of multiple Products, Paazl will display the highest Matrix (corresponding with the highest product). In cm. For more information on the Paazl Matrices, we refer to the Paazl Matrix Instellingen manual 5. Customs description: Only mandatory for Fedex and UPS 6. Country of manufacture: Only mandatory for Fedex Note: Weight is mandatory for DHL, Fedex, GLS and UPS shipments Magento allows you to update the Attributes of multiple products in one go. So in case you wish to set the same Matrix value for a large set of products: Go to Catalog /Manage Products. Select your products and then select Update Attributes. Set Matrix at [ ] and all will be changed to [ ]. When shipping gets serious 9

10 5. Sales-Orders Print your address labels and packing slips (with integrated address label) via the Submit dropdown menu. First select your order(s) on the left hand side. Select PDF Laser shipping labels or PDF Zebra shipping labels, depending on the type of printer you are using. You can only use this functionality if you have requested for a Pakbon module (see for more information) Note: when printing a packing slip, Magento requires you to first create a shipment! Update the Paazl status of your orders via the Submit dropdown menu. First select your order(s) on the left hand side. You may use Select visible to select all orders in your list. Select Update Paazl status via the Submit dropdown menu. Your shop will now connect to the Paazl platform to collect the latest status updates on the selected orders. When shipping gets serious 10

11 You can search for a particular Paazl status by selecting this status in the Paazl status drop down. Hit Search and Magento will display all relevant orders. You have the opportunity to automatically move the Status column to Complete when the address label has been printed. Perform the Paazl status update procedure. In case the Paazl Status has moved to Ready to ship (=label printed), the Status moves to Complete. See chapter 1 how to enable this setting. 6. Delivery Date module With the Paazl Delivery Date module you can offer clients specific delivery dates. The Delivery Date module can be used via the Paazl Magento Extension Step 1: Purchase the Paazl Delivery Date module. Contact your Paazl account manager for this. Step 2: Configure the Delivery Date module in your Paazl account. See manual Bezorgdatum module which you can download via Help/Downloads. Step 3: Activate the module in the Magento Paazl backend. See 12 in chapter 1. Note that you may have to log out and log in again. Step 4: Check your shipping option. The dropdown menu with delivery dates is to automatically appear below the shipping option. When shipping gets serious 11

12 Step 5: Set the amount of delivery dates you wish to display. See 18 in chapter 1. A client can now select a preferred delivery date. When the order is stored in Magento, the preferred delivery date is displayed. Magento tells you when to ship products that have a preferred delivery date. Go to Orders Orders to ship (if you don t see Orders to ship, please log out and log in again). Here, Magento will display the orders that need to be shipped today. Note that these could include orders with different delivery dates, because this depends on the configuration of the Delivery Date module in your Paazl account. When shipping gets serious 12

13 7. Bugs & fixes Older Paazl extensions may prevent you from exporting products. This is caused by attributes 'number_per_envelope' and 'days_to_restock' in your database. We advise you to delete both: delete from eav_attribute where attribute_code in ('number_per_envelope', 'days_to_restock'); When using an extension that helps you to print your packing slip (like Fooman) you may get an error code that refers to a conflict with Paazl: Parcelshipper_Paazl_Model_Order_Pdf_Shipment We advise you to switch off the code in the Paazl extension that is causing this error: - Go to /app/code/local/parcelshipper/paazl/etc/config.xml, line 70: - Change <order_pdf_shipment>parcelshipper_paazl_model_order_pdf_shipment</order_p df_shipment> Into <!-- order_pdf_shipment>parcelshipper_paazl_model_order_pdf_shipment</order_pd f_shipment--> - Refresh your Magento cache When a general conflict arises with another extension, Paazl can help you fix the issue and have both extensions cooperate.
