3 01. PURPOSE OF EUROPEAN DIGITAL MINDSET AWARDS Technology has changed forever any business model. But, before technology, strategy and leadership are key to succeed into Digitally Transform any organization. Business strategies focused on the customer experience, IT management or new business models are the centre of the Digital Transformation. The European Digital Mindset Awards are set to recognize the work, leadership and transformation that stand out in the business and economic world nowadays. 02. TOPICS COVERED The proposals that will be considered to participate in the Awards must be in the framework of the following topics and categories: A. BEST DIGITAL LEADER EXECUTIVE OF 2016 B. BEST DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ENTERPRISE C. BEST JOURNALISTIC WORK ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION D. BEST DIGITAL CAMPAIGN E. BEST DIGITAL DISRUPTOR START-UP A. BEST DIGITAL LEADER EXECUTIVE OF 2016 Prize to the best President or CEO of any company that is leading the Digital Transformation of its organization and had stunning results, improving the value of the share. B. BEST DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ENTERPRISE Prize to the company that better executed the change from the traditional to the digital business model or that better combined both models with success. C. BEST JOURNALISTIC WORK ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION Best journalistic work that shows the impact of the Digital Transformation in a specific industry or in an economic region. 3

4 D. BEST DIGITAL CAMPAIGN Prize to the best advertising campaign based on digital channels and platforms with more impact and results during the last year from public to private sector. E. BEST DIGITAL DISRUPTOR START-UP Prize to the Start-up with a high impact into the sector that represents thanks to its business model and with a higher projection during the upcoming years. 03. ORGANIZER OF THE AWARD The European Digital Mindset Awards are organized by Digital Enterprise Show as part of the Madrid Digital Enterprise World Capital program. 04. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? The European Digital Mindset Awards are aimed to all companies, universities, vendors, executives, business schools, researchers, analysts, journalists, start-ups, accelerators, technologic parks, innovation centers, etc. from all over the world. 4

5 05. RESTRICTIONS There is no restrictions at Digital Enterprise Show, we think that all organizations should face the Digital Transformation and be ready for the digital economy. 06. PRESENTATION OF PROPOSALS To enter in the running European Digital Mindset Awards, please fill in the form available online. Proposals must be submitted electronically via this website and have to accept to the terms and conditions included in the online form. The form and all complementary information will have to be filled out entirely in English or Spanish. *(No proposals in any other languages will be accepted) No additional documents to the web form will be accepted, unless required by the organization. The organization reserves the right to ask for any clarification or additional information about the submitted entries. 07. ENTRY DEADLINE All entries should be submitted before April 29th, 2016, 23:59:59 CET. 08. EVALUATION CRITERIA Competing proposals will be evaluated by our Steering Commitee in terms of: Innovation Leadership Disruption Strategy 5

EVALUATION PROCESS The evaluation process is divided in two phases: PHASE 1: Regulation compliance and pre-selection: the organization and a Technical Committee of experts will conduct the first evaluation to check whether the proposal complies with the requirements and selection criteria defined. A pre-selection of 5 award candidates per category will be made. Pre-selected candidates will be informed. The organization will then be able to request additional information in order to complete the information. Proposals will be exceptionally subject to change of category according to the observations of the technical committee. The candidate will be informed on due time. 6

7 PHASE 2: Winners selection: the International Committee of experts will evaluate the projects selecting the winner by prize category. The composition of the panel and the prizes winners will be communicated during the European Digital Mindset Awards Gala Dinner Ceremony to be held on May 25th, Any prize award category could be declared void by the International Committee. 10. PRE-SELECTION COMMUNICATION Preselected candidates will be informed from 2-12 of May, PRIZES The European Digital Mindset Awards will award the winners with the following prizes: - A double invitation to assist to the Awards Gala Dinner for all the finalists of each category. - A trophy recognition of the category awarded - Media recognition and dissemination of the award to all the Digital Enterprise Show channels and Media Partners. 12. INTELLECTUAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY RIGHTS The participant is responsible for the authorship of the submitted proposal; he/ she is the owner of the intellectual and, where applicable, industrial property rights thereof. The participant is accountable for the proposal submitted not violating intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, copyright and/or image rights and assumes complete responsibility with regard to third parties: the Organization is free of all liability. 7

8 Should the proposal be short-listed, the participant authorizes the Organization to disseminate, reproduce and publish the proposal in any format and using any medium to publicize the European Digital Mindset Awards. 13. DATA PROTECTION Due to the sensitive nature of the information supplied, the award organizers, the coordinator, and the members of the International Committee and Technical Committee guarantee to keep the identity of participants and the content of their project confidential outside the sphere of the European Digital Mindset Awards. This also includes any information about its current state of use or developmen t. Once the project has been selected as a finalist, the organizers of this award may make public any details considered as public (project name, organization responsible, person in charge, websites, description, purpose and category). 14.
