PRIZE STRUCTURE One (1) Grand Prize Recipe Winner receives $500 and one Stay & Play Package. Stay & Play Package consists of a one-night stay at GKMI, Dinner for two at Mavericks or Saddle Bar, $5 in Wild Loot after 100 points and a $5 table games Promotional Chip to use on Blackjack, Craps or Roulette! You are eligible if you are 21 years of age or older as of November 8, 2013 and are a legal United States resident residing in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia at the time of the Contest Finals. Entrants must also be registered Miner s Club cardholders of Wildwood Casino. You are not eligible to enter and will be disqualified if: You are or ever have been a food professional, such as a chef, food writer, culinary specialist or educator, or someone who creates recipes for pay. You graduated from a culinary school/program or are enrolled in a culinary school/program as of the date you submit your entry. You are an employee of Wildwood Casino, or any sponsors of the Contest or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, or any promotion, advertising, judging or public relations company doing business with any of the above, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, or a member of the immediate family (parent, children, siblings, spouse, regardless of where they live) or live in the same household of such employees (whether related or not). You are excluded from entering licensed gaming establishments in the state of Colorado. How do I enter? Enter your original recipe online at by using the online entry form. Fill in all information requested on the entry form completely and type your recipe, listing each recipe ingredient (including garnishes) with specific flavor, exact measurements or weights, equipment with exact dimensions or sizes and complete preparation

2 instructions. Eligible participants have the option to bring in the dish to be physically tasted and pre-judged to Wildwood Casino on November 9, 2013 between the hours of 11AM and 4PM. Entries for each category must be received by the day and time indicated in the Call for Entries Schedule below. Recipes for each category will only be accepted during the time frames listed below. Each entry should be submitted only once. Use of automated processes and devices to submit electronic entries are not permitted. The appetizer must be prepared by the contestant and must be prepared the same day of the event. Appetizers will be judged predominately on taste, appearance and overall impression with station cleanliness and efficient use of time taken into consideration. An appetizer should stimulate your palate and leave your stomach ready for dinner and your taste buds awakened. It should NOT be greasy, heavy, overwhelming, overly seasoned or anything that can put a damper on the rest of the meal. The appetizer is NOT required to contain protein, and if it does, it should not exceed 4oz. It should have something noteworthy to separate it from the others. Entrée An entrée should be the main dish of the meal. Needs to include a protein accompanied with whatever would round out your dish. Garnishes are encouraged but do not take the place of any of the required components. While creativity is always a plus, it should not overlook the ability to properly execute the basics. The entrée should be able to shine as a standalone dish and not require the assistance of sides or salads. If it's not on the plate and part of the dish, it will not be taken into consideration. Must be a pleasing meld of flavors; tenderness and juiciness of product, proper internal temperature; mouth feel of entrée; presence of textures and flavors that enhance each other. Basically, it should be a dish that someone would really want to eat, and then eat again later in the week. Dessert

3 The dessert rules are much less restricted, as so many things prepared properly can be a great dessert. Must be something that will round out a good meal and leave you satisfied. If this was to be on a menu, it would be the last thing people taste before going home to reflect upon their meal. The judges will take a similar approach. Only entries submitted via the electronic entry form provided on the website above and or during the live tasting on November 9 will be accepted. Entries submitted via any other method, including but not limited to U.S. Postal Service, facsimile or other express delivery services, will NOT be accepted. Contest Sponsors and their promotion agencies are not responsible for phone, network, electronic or computer hardware or software failure, or technical failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by Contest Sponsors, entrants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user s system or limit a participant s ability to participate in the promotion. Wildwood Casino may prohibit any individual from participating in the contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said individual is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner at any time during the Contest, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. By submitting your recipe, you accept all contest rules and agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final. You also agree that your recipe(s) becomes the sole property of Wildwood Casino, and Wildwood Casino reserves the right to edit, adapt, copyright, publish, transfer and use any or all of them, without compensation. CAUTION -- ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. How will recipes be judged? All entries must meet the requirements of the Recipe Category entered. Recipes not meeting contest entry criteria will be disqualified. Entries must be the original recipe of the entrant. Initial judging will be done by a judging panel of Wildwood Casino personnel and food professionals for the criteria outlined below (and weighted equally): Criteria for judging Appetizers and Entrées Appearance - your eyes eat first and tell your body the level of anticipation Degree of Doneness - tenderness and if it is properly cooked How well it eats - how much you want to continue eating this Taste - that "million dollar" secret recipe Overall Impression - the "WOW" factor Creativity/Originality Whether or not the judge can get a feel for who you are and how you cook based on your dish Criteria for judging Desserts Overall Appearance/Presentation

4 Flavor (aroma, taste, balance of flavoring) Texture/Consistency (evenly baked, doneness) Moistness/Crumb (as applicable to category) Creativity/Originality Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as but not limited to those in cookbooks, in magazines, from food companies, on food blogs or recipe websites and winners in cooking contests, unless the recipe features changes considered significant by the judges in their sole and absolute discretion. Finalists will be required to certify, on information or belief, that their recipes are their original creation and have not been published or publicized and have not won a cooking contest. Final judging will be done by a panel of food experts. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this contest. Remember! You are the artist here... How will finalists be selected? Judges will select 20 recipes for each category from all eligible entries received online at and during the live tasting on November 9, 2013 to advance to the pre-judging round. In the event that fewer than 20 eligible recipes are submitted in a category, the judges may select fewer than 20 recipes to place in the pre-judging round. If any entrants are unable to compete, Wildwood Casino may choose to select an alternate(s) using the judging criteria above. Alternates will not be notified of their selection as alternates. Potential finalists will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a confidentiality agreement, and a liability release/assignment of rights and return within 48 hours of attempted notification. If your recipe is one of the 20 recipes selected to compete in the pre-judged round, you will be notified via . During the pre-judged round, 4 finalist in each category will be chosen to compete in the finals on November 16, In the event of a tie between two or more recipes, judges will decide which recipe(s) will become finalists using the judging criteria above. What happens if I BECOME A FINALIST? Wildwood Casino will advise finalists of their status shortly after the conclusion of pre-judged round on November 9, As a finalist, you will be invited to Wildwood Casino in Cripple Creek, to participate in the Contest Finals where you must prepare your recipe yourself in the Wildwood kitchen between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. and submit it for final judging between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on November 16, Reasonable accommodations will be provided for substantiated disabilities at the sole discretion of Wildwood Casino. Except where prohibited by law, each finalist will be required to sign a release giving Wildwood Casino and its nominees full rights to use the finalist's name, likeness, image and voice for the Holiday Culinary Challenge for contest-related advertising and publicity, including such usage on the Internet. Wildwood Casino will select and supply the ingredients and cooking equipment to be used during preliminary judging and at the Contest Finals. Wildwood casino will also assign a staff member to each Guest to accompany them in the Wildwood kitchen. Wildwood Casino reserves the right to substitute comparable products at its discretion. Wildwood Casino may advise finalists of further Contest procedures and policies, and all finalists agree to comply with such procedures. Finalists may be required to make themselves available for promotional appearances during the Contest Finals. Wildwood Casino may also request that the Grand Prize Winner make additional promotional appearances. Method of travel and accommodations for such appearances shall be chosen by Wildwood Casino and at its expense. Any finalist who does not comply with these requirements, cannot be easily located at the address or phone number provided, or who is unable to attend the Contest Finals or any subsequent promotional appearances required by Wildwood Casino will not be eligible for any prize and will not be allowed to compete. If a finalist becomes unable to compete for any reason, Wildwood Casino may attempt to replace that finalist with an alternate, provided that the alternate can comply with the conditions stated above. Wildwood Casino in its sole discretion may also choose not to replace any finalist(s).

5 All issues and disputes regarding any aspect of the Contest, including, but not limited to the construction, interpretation and enforceability of these official rules, shall be governed by the laws of the state of Colorado, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws. All suits and claims shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction situated in Cripple Creek, CO. Wildwood Casino reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any of the prizes stated above.
