The Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) system is to be used for the fabrication of nanostructures in graphene and other 2D materials. The instrument will be located in a dedicated area within a class 100 cleanroom environment within the NGI. The system will be used to fabricate structures down to 10nm in a range of resist materials including PMMA, HSQ and ZEP. Substrates will range from 8 silicon wafers to small piece parts of which the most common dimensions are 22mm x 25mm and 10mm x 10mm. Other substrate materials will include quartz and borocilicate glass. The funding has been awarded on the basis of a strictly cash limited sum which is also subject to certain time constraints. The University seeks bids that will provide the best resource, to deliver the best science possible, within the budget and timescale.
