2 Requirements Please ensure your web host meets the application requirements. The lists of requirements are: Web Server Requirements Operating System: Linux, Unix, or Windows Web Server: Apache Scripting Language: PHP 5.3 or above Apache mod_rewrite PHP GD library Database: MySQL 5.1 or above (MySQLi driver enabled) If you're unsure whether your server meets these requirements, simply ask your hosting provider.

3 Install Unzip the Digital Downloads Pro package into your local hard drive. If you don't have WinZip, you can download it for free here. Using an FTP program (such as Filezilla, which is free, or a commercial package such as CuteFTP), login to your web server and copy the Digital Downloads Pro files across into your base website directory. This directory is commonly called 'public_html', 'html', 'www' or 'httpdocs'. If you're not sure what it is, your webhost provider will be able to tell you. Web Server Requirements Digital Downloads Pro requires the following files/directories to have 'write' permissions set. If you're running on a Linux or UNIX web host, you can use your FTP program and use the 'CHMOD' ('Change Mode') function to grant writes permissions. If your host is running Windows, you will need to contact your hosting provider about setting up write permissions on these files/folders. Folders, CHMOD these to755: /uploads/ /cache / /themes/master/cache/ /admin/assets/cache/ /admin/backups/ NOTE: ALTHOUGH IT SAYS 755, SOME WEBHOSTS MAY REQUIRE 775 OR 777 INSTEAD.

4 MySQL Database Digital Downloads Pro makes use of a MySQL database to store your data. This database must be created before you run the Digital Downloads Pro installation wizard. Your MySQL user account should also have full grant access to that database. You will need the database connection details during the setup wizard. Setting up your database may differ with your webhost and what software they use for your web hosting control panel. If you don t know how ask your hosting provider. Setup Wizard Digital Downloads Pro includes a simple 3 step installation process. To start the setup wizard, navigate to the directory that you uploaded Digital Downloads Pro, for example: The Digital Downloads Pro setup wizard will appear. Follow simple on screen instructions.

Troubleshooting If during installation you encounter.htaccess errors remove the following line: php_flag zlib.output_compression off If you encounter 404 errors after successful install make sure this line in.htaccess is Correct: RewriteBase / If you installed DDP in root directory of your public_html, httdocs etc... The line needs to be the same as above, otherwise you need to add correct path. If you installed DDP in Than the line should read: RewriteBase /ddp/ This will be automatically configured for you during installation process, but Sometimes depending on your server configuration, install wizard will not be able to write to your.htaccess file. If you experience problems uploading files, few thing to look for: 1. Make sure you have entered correct path for file directory in Admin->Site Configuration under File Directory. Your path must start and end with backslash if using Linux/Unix webserver. In windows path must start with drive letter. 2. Make sure File Directory has correct write permissions 3. Make sure your server is configured for file uploads
