Make accurate use of the technical-legal language used in Private International Law Criminal Procedural Law ECTS credits: 4,5 Semester: 2 1. Understand the basic elements of Criminal Procedure and its constitutional framework, situating it among the instruments of criminal policy of the Democratic State living under the rule of law. 2. Know the essential aspects of Spanish criminal procedure, its principles and structure, in relation to the present situation and future reforms. 3. Understand the roles assigned to the different subjects in criminal proceedings (the accused, judicial organs, prosecutor, victim, others). 4. Distinguish between the different types of criminal proceedings and gain familiarity with the most appropriate procedural activity in each case. 5. Use, select and contextualize relevant case-law for the matter under study. 6. Develop the capability for critical analysis of news items that are of procedural relevance. 4 th Year 2/8
3 5981 Family and Succession Law ECTS credits: 4,5 Semester: 2 1. Know the structure and the effects of marriage as a basic institution of human cohabitation. 2. Know the origin of relations between parents and offspring and their main effects, as well as the institutions that protect under-age children and the legally incapacitated. 3. Know the consequences of the death of a physical person and the structures that regulate inheritance Degree Final Dissertation ECTS credits: 6 Semester: 2 The End-of-Degree (EDP) Project is an original, independent and individual piece of work that each student completes under the guidance of an academic tutor. The student will demonstrate, through this project, the educational content that has been learnt in an integrated way and the capabilities, competencies and skills associated with the degree that have been acquired. Students should develop and present the EDP for an oral defence, in such a way that they demonstrate their skills at searching for and managing information, their capability for analysis and critical interpretation of the data, in accordance with academic uses and a capability, in relation to the subject under study, for the acquisition of general competencies described in each of the degree verification reports. It is expected that an End-of-Degree project will guarantee the following learning outcomes: 1. Guarantee the completion of a creative piece of work with original contributions. 2. Use the documentation and the research sources in a systematic way. 3. Use technical language in a correct and rigorous way, both in the final project and in its oral presentation. 4. Provide a multidisciplinary approach in the theoretical and practical framework, the sources and the method to be used. 4 th Year 3/8
4 OPTIONAL 1 st Itinerary: 5984 Election Law and Political Parties 1. Know the essential features of the Social and Democratic State living under the Rule of Law. 2. Know the legal regime of rights and duties contemplated in Spanish Constitution Budgetary Law (NOT AVAILABLE IN 2013/2014) ECTS credits: 4 Semester: N/A This module is intended to give the student the basic knowledge of financial activity in the public sector, from the perspective of the corresponding application or expenditure on covering collective economic needs by the various competent public bodies. The basic contents of the module are as follows: 1. The concepts of Budgetary and Budget Law. 2. The integral budgetary cycle. 3. The budgets of the different public bodies. From this perspective, and after completing this module, future graduates should be capable of the following: - Know and distinguish between the basic concepts of Budgetary Law. - Interpret and apply legal budgetary norms with reference to legal sources. - Analyze and resolve case studies based on real circumstances. - Use new technologies in the legal-financial field, and within it, especially in the budgetary field. - Work in a team. 4 th Year 4/8
5 5986 International and European Law of Foreigners 1. Identify and know the most relevant conceptual and general aspects upon which International and European Law that applies to foreigners is grounded. 2. Know and interpret the regulations that are applicable to foreigners. 3. Identify and understand the guarantees and rights that foreigners have, their recognition, protection and application. 4. Understand the legal definition of EU citizenship, the rights and the participation of citizens that it promotes and its relation with member State nationality. 5. Understand the meaning and the scope of the EU area of freedom, security and justice, paying special attention to knowledge of policies on frontier controls, asylum and immigration together with the challenges that they currently present. 6. Develop the capability to analyze and to formulate reasoned judgments on regulations and practices that influence the stay and the residency of foreigners, the legal regime that is applicable to their families, the authorization of work and various situations to which regulations and decisions on sanctions may apply. 7. Know and manage in a satisfactory way the regulations on comparative European law applicable to foreigners Public Procurement In relation to the teaching objectives of the Public Procurement module, note that these cover the skills, capabilities and attitudes that a student should be able to develop having completed this module. These objectives are contained in two different blocks. The first of them refer to methodological aspects inherent to the study of Law, which may therefore be shared in different modules, and the second centres on the specific contents of our module. Objectives of the module on aspects inherent to the study of Law. 1. Master access to and selection of legal information. 2. Solve concrete problems through identification of the regulations applicable to each case. 3. Understand the importance of a theoretical approximation for the interpretation and application of positive Law. Objectives that relate to the specific contents of the module. 4. Identify and apply legal rules and criteria that govern contracting. 4 th Year 5/8
6 5. Use administrative legal regulations: find, interpret and apply legaladministrative regulations. 6. Knowledge of the relevant institutions in relation to the discipline as well as the specific terminology that they employ. 2 nd Itinerary 5988 Commercial Contracts The student should know the principal mercantile contracts, as well as their content and constituent elements. The student should know the modalities of mercantile contracting, their consequences and their implications. The student will develop the skills needed for the drafting and interpretation of mercantile contracts Economic Criminal Law Identify the offences and the penalties envisaged for anti-legal measures in the economic arena Legal and Administrative Tutelage of Labour Rights 1. Know the structure of labour law and social security, including their administrative and procedural aspects. 3. Know the rules for the application of Labour Law to social realities and learn to use them. 4. Know and understand the functions of the main institutions in matters concerning individual rights and collective labour law, enlarging it to administrative and procedural aspects that propose its development in practice. 5. now and understand the essential aspects and the functioning of the Spanish Social Security system and the principal questions that it poses for administrative and jurisdictional orders. 4 th Year 6/8

Understand special civil procedures, and their differences with regard to ordinary declarative proceedings. 2. Know and use possible precautionary measures, as well as the procedure for the submission. 3. Understand executory procedures, their names, the types of executory procedures and their processes, both of an individual nature and with respect to general executory procedures through an arrangement with creditors. 4. Know what is known as voluntary jurisdiction and the different actions in civil and mercantile matters. 5. Know and use alternatives to legal proceedings, with special attention to the institution of arbitration, at its various levels of practical application. 4 th Year 7/8

Master the techniques of regulation and the solutions to problems of regulatory application, to examine legal and jurisdictional conflicts in depth. 7. Gain critical capability for the analysis of the regulations currently in force, real practical cases, and the decisions of courts and tribunals, in matters regarding International Private Law.
