Gelogo 1 and Haeng-Kon Kim 1* 1 School of Information Technology, Catholic University of Daegu, Korea yvette@cu.ac.kr * Corresponding Author: hangkon@cu.ac.kr Abstract The Social Business solutions are developed through the integration of different components. This paper proposed a The web-based Social Business Solution Architecture based on component based development as a software development methodology to simply integrate the different technology building blocks into one web-based solution. The social business solutions should be role-based, relationship driven social, web, and mobile driven. Keywords: Social business, CBD, web-based solution 1. Introduction A Social Business solution is composed of integrated components that functions differently but have one objective. In this view, we proposed that the social business architecture should be developed based on Component based development as software development methodology. Social Collaboration is an integrated set of tools that enable real-time knowledge sharing, increased productivity and faster innovation. The most effective approach to enabling a Social Business solutions around helping people discover expertise, develop social networks and capitalize on relationships. A Social Business enables its employees and customers to more easily find the information and expertise they seek. It helps groups of people bind together into communities of shared interest and coordinate their efforts to deliver better business results faster. It encourages, supports and takes advantage of innovation and idea creation and builds on the intelligence of the crowd. A Social Business shifts the focus from documents, project plans and other temporary artifacts to the source of the energy, creativity and decision making that moves the business forward: people. A people-centric approach relies on: Networks: Globally integrated networks of employees, partners and customers are the backbone of a Social Business. Rich online profiles of trusted experts enable collaboration and agility and allow for exploration of expertise, publications and networks of colleagues to quickly initiate action or fulfill a business need. Social and real-time collaboration: Connecting remote teams of people to improve and decision making and discover relevant expertise or related work empowers people and enables problem solving. Mobility: A social business benefits from enabling individuals to use the device best suited to their needs and keeping them connected whenever and where ever they are. The speed and relevancy of information exchange are increasingly essential. Integration: Bringing social collaboration capabilities into the applications people use to do their jobs, without overwhelming them, allows for information sharing within the context of business processes. 2 2. Background of the Study 2.1 What is Social Business? Social business, as the term has been commonly used since, was defined by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus and is described in his books creating a world without poverty [1]. A social business is a company created with the sole purpose of solving a social problem in a financially self-sustainable way. A good social business combines an unwavering focus on meeting social needs with entrepreneurial energy, market discipline, and great potential for replicating and scaling successful enterprises. As the rapid growth of social networking and mobility has erased some of the boundaries that separated individuals in the past, people increasingly use their relationships with other people to discover and use information to accomplish innumerable tasks. New opportunities for growth, innovation and productivity exist for organizations that encourage people employees, customers and partners to engage and build trusted relationships. Individuals are using social networking tools in their personal lives, and many are also incorporating it into their work lives regardless of whether it s sanctioned by their employers. Astute organizations will embrace social software and find the most effective ways to utilize it to drive growth, improve client satisfaction and empower employees [2]. Figure 1 shows the social platform enablers based on IBM architecture. It has four components, the social collaboration, social analytics, and social content and social user experience. There four components should be meet for successful social business solution. Integrating these components requires different type of technology integration. Figure 1. Social Platform Enablers Figure 2 shows the building blocks of social business solution. The social business should be people centric, support social content publishing, social cooperation, discovery, association, real-time collaboration, social analytics, and digital platform. These are all the necessary components to have a successful social business solution. The integration of different technology enablers is the main building blocks. 272 Copyright c 2015 SERSC
Figure 2. Social Business Technology Enablers 2.2 Component Based Development Component-Based Development claims to offer a radically new approach to the design, construction, implementation and evolution of software applications. Software applications are assembled from components from a variety of sources; the components themselves may be written in several different programming languages and run on several different platforms. CBD architecture is being used nowadays and the research on how to make it more efficient is the focus of this study. A component re-used is one of the most convenient ways for the fast software production. There have been many methods on how to do this and it does involve more technical and detailed view. In this paper we tried to integrate the concept of CBD to develop a mobile enterprise application. We believed that enterprise application uses software components that are being re-used repeatedly; hence, component re-used for mass application developments is necessary [3][4]. Component Based Development (CBD) is popular methodology to develop a mobile component through component re-used. One of the interesting researches is the enterprise mobile application development with CBD. Copyright c 2015 SERSC 273
3. Proposed Study Figure 3. Component Based Development Process The Social Business solutions are developed through the integration of different components. This paper proposed a social business architecture based on component based development methodology to simply integrate the different technology building blocks into one web-based solution. The social business solutions should be role-based, relationship driven social, web, and mobile capable. In this paper we design architecture of web-based solution for project management. A project management methodology involved the use of a number of different systems. Having separate system for project tracking, documentation and communication is very cumbersome. Equally, it was very difficult for the management team to get an overview of the status of each project and check that everything was running on schedule. The obvious answer was to integrate the existing systems into a single solution that would provide easy web-based access to all project-related information and tools. Project data, documentation, tools and resources from numerous systems should be collected and orchestrated into a single, easy-to-use web portal. Project team members, managers and interested parties around the world can log into the portal to update project information, find colleagues, communicate and collaborate in real time. By leveraging knowledge and insight from global experts, the portal enables every project to access the best intellectual resources enhancing operational management. This architecture is based on the following requirements: Role-based, relationship driven social, web, and mobile experiences Integration of: Applications People Data Processes Dynamic, adaptable, and personal Engaging Customers Employees 274 Copyright c 2015 SERSC
Partners The objectives of this social business solution architecture are the following: Improves transparency: managers can check project status easily via a simple dashboard, or drill down for more detailed information Enhances international collaboration: Remote users can comment via blogs and discussions, or use instant messaging and web conferencing to communicate in real time. Increases flexibility: standards-based, service-oriented platform makes it easy to integrate new tools and components The web-based solutions allow mobile user to access to their corporate connections data on-the-go via a micro-browser or a mobile application. With a minimal number of taps, users can access their social software information such as: Updates, Profiles, Communities, Files, Wikis, Activities, Forums, Blogs and Bookmarks - directly from their mobile device. The ability to log in via a simple web browser and access all the tools and information our users need is a big advantage. Figure 4. Mobile Architecture Figure 4 shows the mobile architecture for web-based solution. This can be access via micro-browser or a mobile application. With a minimal number of taps, users can access their social information. 3.1 Component Adaptation for Mobile Agent Provisioning phase is to determine what components to build or buy, in the assembly phase as an input to test scripts. This ensures that the necessary components are made available. This includes unit testing the component prior to assembly. By building them from scratch By buying them from a third party By reusing, integrating, mining By modifying an existing component or other software In assembly phase, it takes all the components puts them together with existing software assets and a suitable user interface. The application is passed to the test phase for system and user acceptance testing Copyright c 2015 SERSC 275
Figure 5. Component Integration Figure 5 show the component integration. The social business enablers are different technology which functions individually. With the component integration process, we come up with one solution. First, we analyze the business process and study the role and relationship of each component. 3.1 Mobile Agent Specification Development The mobile agent specification development shows the model and concepts of integrating the different social technology building blocks. Figure 6 shows the representation of the MA Model concepts and relations. Figure 6. Representation of the MA Model Concepts and Relations 276 Copyright c 2015 SERSC

4. Conclusion This paper proposed a The web-based Social Business Solution Architecture based on component based development as a software development methodology to simply integrate the different technology building blocks into one web-based solution. The social business solutions should be role-based, relationship driven social, web, and mobile driven.
