In addition, students will be qualified to apply for certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and other similar certification examinations, meeting the training requirements of the State Board of Pharmacy. Students will learn topics essential to the delivery of service including assisting the Pharmacist in serving patients, receive and screen prescription/medication orders for completeness and authenticity, prepare medications for distribution, compound a prescription/medication order and control the inventory of medications, equipment, and devices according to an established plan.
