2 Part 8: Design and Build the Class Schedule Page 111 TASK AND PURPOSE: Dr DrIF cl To design and build the Class Schedule page of the Ultimate Fitness Web site. The purpose of the Class Schedule page is to provide both members and nonmembers of Ultimate Fitness online access to the aerobic, cardio, and personal training schedule. STRATEGIES AND DESIGN TIPS TO CONSIDER: Use the Web Page Planning Form installed from the Ultimate Fitness Resource CD to plan your Class Schedule page on paper before starting any work on the computer. Keep the size, color, and design of the text you enter consistent with the style and design theme you established in your Web site. Use colors that are consistent with those provided in the Ultimate Fitness Web Color Charts. Format the class schedule table (shown in Table 8.1) using the same text and color scheme that you have established for your Web site. Before you begin building the Class Schedule page using your Web design software, read all of the instructions, information, and required content provided in this part of the simulation. Use the Web Page Planning form to create a thumbnail sketch of the layout and design of your Class Schedule page. INSTRUCTIONS, INFORMATION, AND REQUIRED CONTENT: NOTE: Read all of the steps in this section before proceeding to Step I below. Step 1: With the Ultimate Fitness Web site open, do the following: 1. Open the file "nutrition_tips." 2. From the file menu of your software, choose Save As and rename the file "class_schedule." As omen" kyr TIF Step 2: Add the following browser page title to the Class Schedule page: Ultimate Fitness: Schedule of Classes Do not forget to add the browser page title to the Class Schedule page.

Step 4: Add the text given below just beneath the headline you entered in Step 3. Included on this page is our weekly aerobic, cardio, and personal training schedule. Our schedule is updated monthly, so please check this page often for updates. Format the text so that it is consistent with the style and design theme you have established for your Web site. Step 5: Add the class schedule shown in Table 8.1 to the Class Schedule page. Enter all the text exactly as shown. r nemesia Togo Format the class schedule table (shown in Table 8.1) using the same text and color scheme that you have established thus far in your Web site. Format the class schedule table so that it is consistent with the style and design theme you have established for your Web site. Step 6: Open the Homepage (file name"index") and hyperlink the text that reads "Click here to visit our fitness class schedule online" (from Part 3, Step 9) to the Class Schedule page. Step 7: Open the About Us page (file name "about us") and hyperlink the text that reads "please click here to see our personal training and aerobics class schedule" (from Part 5, Step 4) to the Class Schedule page. Pay close attention to the hyperlink instructions given in Steps 6 and 7.
