This practical sheet aims at providing you an overview of the general procedures concerning entry, stay and work in France as defined by the CESEDA law (Code de l'entrée et du séjour des étrangers et du droit d'asile), depending on your status at the University of Angers : Status 1 : Lecturers and researchers with a work contract with the University of Angers Doctoral students with a work contract with the University of Angers Post-doctoral researchers (with a work contract with the University of Angers) Teaching and research fellows (with a work contract with the University of Angers) Status 2 : Foreign language teaching assistants (with a one-year contract with the University of Angers) Status 3 : Teaching, administrative, clerical and technical staff in the framework of an inter program (with no work contract with the University of Angers) Status 4 : Other Inter Researchers with no contractual link with the University of Angers (with a Master s degree or higher and without a work contract with the University of Angers) In this practical sheet, the term «European» refers to : - a from a European country - a from a European Economic Area country - a from Switzerland The s who are not «European» s are : - s from a country outside the European Union or the European Economic Area and other than Switzerland You will find the list of the countries having particularities regarding immigration procedures at the end of this practical sheet.
