13 Your Safety is Our Business Together, Era Helicopters and Priority 1 Air Rescue (P1AR) offer full-service SAR/EMS capability and turnkey solutions to offshore Oil & Gas companies located in the Gulf of Mexico for a 24-hour SAR and advanced life support paramedic resource. The Priority 1 Air Rescue crews, including hoist system operators, rescue swimmers, and flight paramedics, supplement Era s state-ofthe-art SAR equipped AW139 helicopters dedicated to the program. The AW139 has flight performance capabilities to execute deepwater maritime SAR/EMS operations at distances up to 200 nautical miles offshore. The AW139 is a hoist equipped, four axis autopilot AW139 aircraft. Era is the first company to operate the AW139 in a SAR/EMS role in North America. Utilizing the AW139 helicopter, maritime SAR response can reach out more than 200 nautical miles, stay on scene for 30 minutes and return the sick, injured or rescued worker 200 nautical miles to the nearest trauma medical center.
