10 The Red Crescent Society of Iran The Rescue And Relief Section Established in 1922,Largest disaster and rescue relief organization in the Middle East, Personals (Paid and volunteer) est exceeds 20,000+ Assist in all major disasters, including international disaster relief request Well equipped & self sufficient In past 20 years,ircs had cooperated with other organizations (Domestic and international) on educations, advance SAR and disaster management trainings Began using ICS after 2001

RARO.ir Branched from rescue and relief department In charge of SAR outside of urban areas (30km) Generally employees volunteer staff ( And 1-2 paid staff) Employs 5-10 personal per shift ( 24 hr on / 48 hr off) Well equipped and trained (In most areas) Rescue personal are specialized in specific task ie: MSAR, Swiftwater, Dive teams, etc Basic training hours ( ) Separate deployment facilities from IRCS ( Medical transport vehicles, Rescue vehicles) Responses to highway/road traffic accidents,wilderness medical calls etc Responses to technical mountain rescue callout (if requested) Air rescue capability Specialized K9 teams Can assist in swiftwater/flood rescue and cooperates with other rescue orgs(fire Dept, Disaster management etc) Offer Incident update info websites

17 National Fire and Safety of Iran Emergency phone number : 125 Established in 1850 ( First fire station built in 1941 in Tabriz (N.W.Iran) Est personal exceeds Tehran offers 110+ Fire stations (The highest number of fire stations in the country) Each fire stations have staffs (24/7) City of Karaj has one fire station operated by female staffs ( The only one in the Middle East)
