1 Visits with college representatives are a great way for students to get questions answered and to establish relationships with admissions officers who may be responsible for reading students' applications. To attend an information session during class time, students must receive permission in advance from his or her teacher and enter with a pass. If you are not able to attend a session, consider leaving a note for the admissions representative to show that you are interested in a particular school. Other colleges and universities will also be in the Bay Area holding regional information sessions in the evenings or on weekends. Ranked #7 for the best undergraduate engineering program. 55% of students declare an engineering major. The incoming class is ethnically diverse (25% Asian, 16% African- American or Latino, 38% Caucasian). 13% are international students. 92% of financial need met. 7:1 Student- faculty ratio. 8% of applicants admitted. Case Western Reserve Medium- sized, private university with 4,661 undergraduate students located in a University - Cleveland, OH very large city in an urban setting. It is the only independent, research- oriented university in the region. Ranks 8th for Biomedical Engineering by The U.S. News and World Report. 30% of students study engineering. Case offers more than 75 majors and minors in an intimate college setting. More than 100 student organizations, including professional, Greek, social, ethnic, faith, and service groups. UC San Diego is one of America's Public Ivy universities, which recognizes top public research universities in the United States.
