1 Transfer Agreement between and This Transfer Agreement ( Agreement ) between Waldorf College located at: 106 South 6th Street, Forest City, Iowa (Waldorf) and Northeast College, located at: 801 East Benjamin Avenue, Norfolk Nebraska (NECC) is executed by both parties, and becomes effective on the date listed below as indicated by the signatures of both parties. This agreement establishes criteria for college credit earned at NECC, which may be transferred into Waldorf s On Campus and Online Degree programs. This agreement is intended to facilitate the credit transfer process for students who desire to continue their education at Waldorf College. WALDORF COLLEGE RESIDENTIAL DEGREE PROGRAMS Features, Benefits, & Transfer Policy for Waldorf s Residential Degree Programs The course transfer grid contained on pages 4 (four) - 7 (seven) provides information on course equivalencies and transferability between NECC and Waldorf. Students entering Waldorf with an Associate of Arts degree will have met the general education requirements with the exception of Religion 103 and an upper level religion requirement. Otherwise, a maximum of 32 (thirty two) semester hours in the Associates Degree program, or 84 (eighty four) semester hours in the Bachelors Degree programs may be transferred into Waldorf, providing they are relevant and in alignment with the applicable degree program. A minimum letter grade of C Minus or better is required for credit transfer consideration. Waldorf will accept up to 16 (sixteen) hours of technical courses from students with an A.A. or 8 (eight) hours if a student enters with an A.S. or A.A.S. Acceptance of courses and credits from NECC and other accredited institutions are evaluated by the Registrar according to the nature and quality of the coursework. A minimum GPA of 2.0 from the transferring institution is required for admission into Waldorf. 1
2 Under this agreement, students, alumni, faculty, staff members, their spouse and children of NECC entering Waldorf s On Campus programs will have the standard application fee waived and receive a $ scholarship toward the first year s tuition. Students entering Waldorf s Residential Programs with less than 50 semester hours of credit transfer will be required to reside on campus. WALDORF COLLEGE ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAMS Features, Benefits, and Transfer Policy for Waldorf s Online Programs The course transfer grid contained on pages 8 (eight) -14 (fourteen) provides information on course equivalencies submitted by applicants for credit transfer consideration. A maximum of 90 (ninety) semester hours may be transferred into Waldorf s online Bachelors Degree programs, providing they are relevant and in alignment with the applicable degree program. A minimum letter grade of C minus or better is required for credit transfer consideration. Students entering Waldorf s Online Degree Programs must have a High School Diploma or a General Education Development Certificate (GED). Acceptance of courses and credits from NECC are evaluated by the Registrar according to the nature and quality of the coursework presented. Waldorf s Online Degree programs are delivered in an 8 (eight) week term format. Online students will be required to complete a 1 (one) credit hour accelerated course for every 30 (thirty) credit hours of online courses completed at Waldorf. Accelerated courses are taught at the Waldorf Campus and popular locations around the country. The accelerated course is taught over a 3 (three) day period. NECC students, faculty, staff members, their spouse and children enrolling in Waldorf s Online Degree program will receive a 10 (ten) percent tuition discount and a waiver of the application fee. These discounts are offered through Waldorf s Tuition Discount Program. In addition, textbooks are provided at no cost under Waldorf s book grant program. Application Process for Residential and Online Programs Students may apply to Waldorf at anytime during or after their enrollment at NECC. Applicants may apply at: Applicants are welcome to provide additional information in support of their application. Academic Counselors at Waldorf College are available to discuss any personal matter which may have impacted the applicant s previous academic performance. Under this agreement students may take courses concurrently at NECC and Waldorf having access to academic advising and or other services at both institutions. Transfer Applicants must submit the following: 2
3 Application for Admission form and an official high school transcript Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities attended Accreditation and Affiliations Northeast Community College represents and warrants that it is regionally accredited through the: Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, 230 LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, IL Waldorf College represents and warrants that it is regionally accredited through the: Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, 230 LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, IL Waldorf College is a member the Service Members Opportunity College, (SOC) Consortium of Schools. If either party listed within this agreement experiences a change in their accreditation, the party experiencing the accreditation change will provide written notification of said change to the other party within 90 (ninety) days. Written notification of the accreditation change will be dispatched to the current president of the receiving institution. Miscellaneous Information NECC and Waldorf agree to promote the transfer agreement, providing timely and accurate information regarding this program. Waldorf will work with NECC in the distribution of information pertaining to the degree programs, transfer criteria, and make information accessible by way of printed materials and electronic medium. This agreement will remain in effect for a period of 5 (five) years from the date of signature. This agreement may be terminated by either party, by providing written notice to the other. Written notification of termination is to be dispatched to the president of the receiving institution. This agreement may be executed by facsimile.
