2 How does it work? What kinds of assignments are there in TaalCompleet? listening assignment on the computer writing assignment speaking assignment assignment on the computer vocabulary assignment on the computer print the text Stars Each assignment and text in the book has a number of stars (zero, one or two * **). What does this mean? no star not that difficult and / or not so important for the exam * a bit difficult and / or a little important for the exam ** difficult and very important for the exam? If you have limited time, make only the assignments with **. If you find a text or a subject difficult, make all assignments. What do you already know? Each theme begins with a test on the computer. This test is called " Wat kun je al?". The test tells you which assignment to do: with 0, 1 or 2 stars. Start with Part A. When you're done, you ll get an advice. Read this advice carefully! Sometimes you only have to make part A, and sometimes you make part B and / or C. This is also written in the advice. Pay attention in part C: always use the Enter button to go to the next question. 3 E-learning: how does it work? TaalCompleet consists of a book and e-learning: assignments on the computer. To work with the program, you need a computer or tablet with a browser (eg Internet Explorer). Always start working in the book. The book tells you when to do an assignment on the computer. How does e-learning work? Look at this scheme: A: The first time on the website: Make your user account Enter your registration code B: The second time on the website (and beyond): Sign in with your user account Choose a course Choose an assignment C: View results Sign in with your user account View your results You ll find more explanation on the following pages. 4 A: The first time on the website Go to Click on Inschrijven. You will now see your personal page. Choose a username (gebruikersnaam) and password (wachtwoord) and enter your personal data. Click on Inschrijven. Don t forget your username and password! Write them down, so you can find them later. Adding a new course You ll get a registration code (registratiecode) with this course. You can find the registration code in the book, on the inside of the cover page. If you can t find it, ask your teacher or the helpdesk. Go to Een nieuw product registeren and enter your code. 5 You will now go to your homepage. You ll see a list of your courses. You can now proceed to B, or you can finish. If you finish, click on the little door to exit. B: The second time on the website When you come back on you have to enter your (new) username and password. Click on Aanmelden to sign in. View courses You can now view courses and do assignments. 6 You are now in the home screen. Assignments To make an assignment, choose a subject (Thema). Then select an assignment. You can start answering the questions. TaalCompleet: hoe werkt het? 6

7 You will see directly if the answer you chose was correct. Questions with a green border have been answered correctly. Questions with a red border have been answered incorrectly. Click on 'volgende'. After the last question, you can click on 'Klaar'. You'll see all your answers again. Finish each assignment, otherwise your score is low. TaalCompleet: hoe werkt het? 7

8 Click in a listening assigment on the underlined phrase or. You will hear a sound. To hear the sound again, click on. C: View results To view your results, use your username and password to sign in. Then select the right course. Click on Resultaten, then click on Mijn resultaten.
