3 Dear Students, Welcome to Beltone University, Beltone s primary source of education and training to the network for three decades. BeltoneUniversity.com is designed to make hearing care education available for all members of the Beltone network in many different fields. Beltone University s online program provides over 175 unique classes, 4 Job Pathways to help new hires reach proficiency quickly, and a variety of educational opportunities to familiarize you with Beltone products, accessories, software, sales and policies. If you have not done so already, you can begin your journey at BeltoneUniversity.com by speaking to your Owner or Manager and having them sign you up or by contacting the Beltone University staff by ing beltoneuniversity@ beltone.com. We also partner with Audiology Online to provide additional online CEU hours and to maintain a leadership position in the hearing healthcare field. 5 1. Announcement Area: Contains the upcoming training schedule, important information, and tips to using Beltone University. 2. My Courses: All in progress and assigned coursesare displayed in this tab. Click on the course name to start all online courses (see #11). 3. Course Catalog: All available live and online courses are listed in the course catalog. Any class may be taken by clicking on the course name. This tab may not be available for all experience levels. 4. Classroom Calendar: Viewing information about and registering for upcoming live classes can be accomplished by looking at the classroom calendar. 5. Certifications: Still in development, this tab will allo you to keep all of your CEU hours in one convenient location. Currently, only Beltone live classes are displayed. You may add others manually. 6. Course History: An easy way to view what classes have been taken. Handy for reviewingclasses or looking at quizzes taken. 7. In Progress Courses: Shows all online and live trainings that are in progress. 8. Completed Objectives: Shows progress to completion for a live class. 9. Classroom Details: Find information for live training events. 10. Assigned Courses: Online courses that are part of the pathway you are on or have been assigned by your manager or mentor. 11. Course Name: The course that is assigned. Click on the name to start the class. 12. Training Due: The date that the training is to be accomplished by.

6 1. Course Name: The name of the course. 2. Course Description: A brief description of the course. 3. Training Objectives: Lists the objectives that will need to be completed to pass the course. Most online courses will have only one objective as live trainings will have more than one, the class and the quiz and surveys after. 4. Web-Based Training Button: Starts the online training course. 5. Review for NO CREDIT: Allows the user to view the class without needing to go in order or taking the quizzes. NOTE: Any course reviewed will not be credited to the student. 6. Contact Course Instructor: Sends an to the Course Instructor. Useful for clarification or questions about the material. 7. Course Repository Files: Downloads that are related to the information being shared in the course. Check this area before starting a course.

7 1. Course Title: The name of the course. 2. Course Resources: Clicking this button will drop down options to re-read the course description or to contact the Course Instructor. 3. OutlineTab: Allows for navigation through the slides of the course. 4. Repository Tab: This tab contains all available downloadable files associated with the course. 5. Outline Area: Blue, underlined slides in the course allow you review slides already viewed. A slide must be viewed once before it can be non-linearly navigated. 6. Content Window: Where the main information for the class is located. 7. Previous Button: Allows you to navigate to the previous slide in the course. 8. Next Button: Allows you to navigate to the next slide in the course. 9. Exit Course Button: Exits the course. The system remembers where you were when you exited the class and you will be able to start where you ended without rewatching the entire course. 10. Course Progress: Shows progress through the course.

8 Pathway: HCP 100 The HCP 100 Pathway is designed for individuals that are just beginning their journey into the hearing healthcare industry as Hearing Care Practitioners. HCP 100 is designed to methodically walk students through basics of audiology and the auditory system. Pathway: HCP 200 The HCP 200 Pathway is designed for students that have completed the 100 level Pathway or Hearing Care Practitioners that are licensed but new to Beltone. HCP 200 teaches about Beltone and Beltone products, accessories, software, and policies. Pathway: PCC 100 The PCC 100 Pathway was created to create a consistent level of customer service across the network while informing the Patient Care Coordinators on how accomplish some of their most common tasks effeciently and getting the best results possible.
