The ABA and NALP utilize slightly different standards and definitions in their reporting methods ( erssinfo). These discrepancies are noted below. The graduate data outlined in this report are based on ABA guidelines. Unemployed: Start Date Deferred graduates have accepted a written offer of employment by the reporting date (March 15 for the Class of 2014 or February 15 for the Class of 2013 and Class of 2012), but the start date of the employment was subsequent to that date. Employment information is as of March 15 (10 months after May graduation) for the Class of Employment information is as of February 15 for the Class of 2013 and the Class of 2012.

Starting with the Class of 2013, the ABA required law schools to classify public defenders by their employer type. There were three 2014 graduates and two 2013 graduates who reported employment with a public defender at a government agency. They are counted in the government employer type in the table above graduates who reported public defender jobs are included in the public interest category regardless of their employer type.
